When do you usually see a BFP? . . .

For those of you who've gotten pregnant (particularly through IUI) at what day post IUI (or post ovulation) did you see a BFP? I know you're not supposed to test until 2 weeks later, but let's be honest. Most of us cannot wait that long! And we start testing early. I, for example, had my 3rd IUI on Sept 28 & 29 so I should wait until Oct 13 to test. But I'm impatient and I tested yesterday (7 dpiui) and it was of course negative. And I know it can still become positive in the next week. So I guess I'm just wondering on average what day do you guys usually get that PFP?

I was so sick of getting dissapointed that I really did wait the 14 days past IUI to test and sure enough...it was positive!! good luck! I test on October 15!!!!

I did not do IUI, but I waited until AF was due. Good luck!!!

I did 2 IUI's and got pregnant on the 2nd one 2 years ago this month. I just went back last week because we are ttc #2 and had my first IUI this time around. They looked at my chart from last time and said it was no wonder that I didn't get pregnant with the first IUI as I had already ovulated when they did the ultrasound!! WHAAAT?? And they still went ahead with the IUI and gave me all that hope the first time around. Thank GOODNESS it worked the second time!!!!! I know how devastating it is when you aren't successful after this step..

Hi Star-I had 9 IUI's. Normally I wouldn't have been able to have so many IU's but my clinic allowed me 3 extra since my thyroid gave out midway. I received my BFP on 11dpiui. It was very faint though. But by 15dpiui, there was no denying the results. Good luck to you!

I am 10 dpiui. I tested this morning (still too early - I know) and it was negative. I'm really upset. GL to you though!

No! You can't be upset yet!! I didn't get a positive until 14 dpiui last time!!!!! I'm not giving up on you! Will you continue to test until af arrives or are you gonna hold off?

I would love to say I'm going to hold off, but I know myself better than that. I just keep hoping I'm going to see a faint line or something. But so far, nothing at all.

star, i hear your pain! i will start testing at 10dpo. i can't help it! i don't start getting really down about it until day 13dpo. then i start to think the worst. i wake up and my first thought in the morning is: "first morning pee, POAS." I test every day until AF comes. I see no reason not to, especially since I get 20 strips for $16. good luck!
