Hi ladies - we have been ttc for a little over 2 years. I've had a missed m/c Nov 06 and a chem pregnancy Feb 07. My OB ran all blood tests for cd 3 and cd 21 - all came back fine. DH had SA and all was fine. I went to an RE to find out why I haven't conceived in this last year of trying. I had an HSG to see if there were any blockages and everything looks great. I had the post coilteral (sp?) - all was great lots of sperm swimming there. My lining was an 11 on cd 24 and my progestrone was 12.8 on cd 24 as well. So everything looks good and fine. My doctor now wants to put me on Clomid and I just think it's going to screw w/ my body. My cycles are regular 26-29 days, according to OPK"s and temping I ovulate every month between cd 12-15. I really need some advice as to whether I should hold out for a few months and continue on my own or take the clomid. My gut feeling is that if everything is fine and I ovulate on my own and I have regular cycles, then why should I go on Clomid. I really need all the advice I can get on this. I've read a lot of stuff on the internet and so I understand it's use, but I just don't know. I'm expecting AF any day and when she arrives I'm to call my dr and make an appt to discuss the clomid option or whatever other option is out there. Again, any and all advice or suggestions is appreciated.

All I can say is that I did not have aby problems with Clomid. I tried it a few years ago and became pregnant the cycle after finishing the clomid. I was a bit irritable (or maybe that was the stress of ttc for so long). As far as I know I was ovulating normally prior to using it. Good luck.

Thanks for your comment CLINDHOLM - I am ovulating regularly and dh has no problems. I just wish ttc was easy than it has been.

pba74....Do you have children now, or are you ttc your first? Your story sounds like mine. I have two children already, ttc #3 for almost 4 years. Ive had all the testing done, tubes checked, my DH checked, everything with the both of us fine. Thats whats so baffling to me!!! I tried Clomid three times and once on Femara (its not suspose to thin the lining as much) and nothing. I too ovulate, have the rise in temps, my cycles are 28-29 days, always have been. Never been on birth control. The only thing they found with me was I was hypothyroid, but that is under control now, my levels are fine. I was thinking that once my levels were okay, I would get pregnant, but that was two years ago. I would say, yah, go ahead and try the Clomid, it may work for you. I have regular cycles and ovulate and I tried it, but unfortunately it didnt work for me. Plus, the expense of all of the bloodwork, ultrasounds and trigger shots was putting me in the poor house (ha). So now Im trying more of a natural alternative, Acupuncture and herbs. I just started the beginning of June and found an awesome acupuncturist. Good luck to you.

Zigzag - thank you so much! Some days I feel a bit crazy b/c everything points to fine. I had a missed m/c in Nov 06 and a chemical in Feb 07 - since then I haven't been able to get pregnant. I have no children - I will be 34 in Oct. and feel a bit frustrated w/ all of this. My gut tells me not to take the clomid as I don't want to screw w/ my body but then again I want a baby so badly that I'm willing to try it. I haven't actually sat down w/ the dr to go over my concerns or ask questions b/c I haven't started AF. I had an HSG on cd 9 of this cycle and currently I'm cd 32 - which I'm assuming my cycle hasn't started b/c the HSG has thrown it off. The nurse told me to call when AF arrives and I will go in and speak w/ the doctor.....So, hopefully next week I will get some answers from him.
