TTC in New York CIty....what worked for me

I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that it will help some of you wonderful women during this difficult process. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when i was 14 years old (am currently 32). I was told that there was a 50% chance I would be infertile. Just last summer, my husband and Idecided that we were ready to start a family. We started trying in May 2005. My OBGYN advised that with my condition, it would be difficult. Anyways, I was on a regimen of 3 months trying and 3 months back on the pill (to manage the endometriosis). I was also told that if nothing happened within 9 months, i would need to consider IVF. I was ovulating on the 18/19th day of my cycle and my luteal phase was barely 9 days.

Being off the pill for the 3 months and TTC was practically unbearable due to extreme cramping and pain. at the suggestion of a friend, I went to see an acupuncturist. Her name is Meg Richichi and her program is called Mothers Path. I want to share her information with all of you New Yorkers because you should RUN to her offices. She is a miracle worker in my mind. I started seeing Meg in August and the effect was amazing. I stopped TTC for 3 months and followed Meg's program (herbal supplements, acupuncture and lifestyle/food changes). It was hard to stop TTC, as I felt like I was losing valuable baby making time!! But, she kept telling me that if I tried before I was healthy and ready, I wouldn't be able to carry the pregnancy to term. I watched as my pain and cramping dissapeared, my periods became regular and I was a perfect textbook case for ovulation! For the first time in 17 years, i was off the pill and having NO pain. I figured if she could cure my endometriosis, then i should give her a shot with my fertility. I realized that I would rather give up 3 months to hopefully have a healthy baby then disregard her advice, risk a miscarriage and then be back at square one. Anyways, suffice to say, that we started trying again over thanksgiving and in our first try, IT WORKED! We successfully conceived and I am 8 weeks pregnant. I am still seeing Meg to get me through my first trimester. The pregnancy has been amazing so far (no spotting, cramping or morning sickness. Both my husband and I absolutely believe that this wouldn't have happened without Meg. If you are having challenges and considering IUI or IVF, I think it's worth your while to see Meg first. Trust me...it works. When we decide to have our second, I will be right back in her offices. Her name is Meg Richichi and her website is www.megrichichi.com.
I hope this helps and good luck to all of you!
