wannabeamom - May 1

here i am on this table again. waiting for the next procedure to begin. i've had the tests, i've felt the pain. since i'm not pregnant myself i blame. i take the pills like they say to do. shots and needles i've seen a few. they check my eggs to see if they grow. then i wait for a period and pray its a no show. to see a positive test would be great, but there's always that dreaded 2 week wait. i talk to other wonderful ladies. we all have dreams of holding babies. we temp, chart, take ovulation tests, take clomid, shots, and have sex on the days that are best. we laugh, we cry, our stories we share. we try to figure out why our wombs are still bare. what is wrong with us we ask each other. why is it so hard for us to become mothers? we try so hard to understand, but our fertility issues we cant seem to comprehend. a big fat positive is what i want to see. a big fat positive for you and for me. -Jamie

Starting this thread means another beginning for all of us. We will take the good with the bad, but prefer the good. We all come from different backgrounds, religions, etc. We do not judge each other. We will support and respect each others feelings and beliefs. Everyone is welcome. I may not be posting consistently but I am always here for my girls! I know you all feel the same about each other. I wish the best for all my friends, old and new! -Kathy

Thank you Kathy! It feels good to start fresh. CHRISTIE, I remember reading in TCOYF that within 20-30 minutes the sperm has already gone up into the cervix and the stuff that's left over is the mainly just the fluid. So, even though a bunch of stuff comes out, the sperm should still be okay as long as you hung out for a little bit. NATASHA - I'm hoping so much for a BFP for you!! I know you have to wait a few days to know for sure, but I can't wait! I'm doing the hcg trigger tomorrow. ROBYN, how are you? Are you feeling any better? Well girls, I'm off to bed. xxoo

slowpoke01 - May 1

NATASHA- i say to take a ovulation test and if it shows a surge then i would say it is a +. that is how i found out in aug that i was pregnant was by using a ovulation test because i didnt want to get my hopes up thinking i was pregnant only to see a - hpt. kind of weird reasoning, but i have heard alot of people take the ovulation tests because they dont want to buy a hpt and they had tons of ovulation tests so i thought i would give it a try. if the line is darker today then that means that the hcg is rising and i am saying that it is the first bfp for may. i dont know that for sure but i think that it is the real thing for you. lots of luck. KATHY- great opening. we do support and respect each other and we have always welcomed everyone on here and that will never stop. good luck to all of you. MAY THIS MONTH OF MAY BRING A LOT OF + NEWS.

na-test first thing in the morning with first pee and let us know. you may have tested too much and your pee may have been deluted hcg is usually higher in the mornings so let us know what it does in the morning. it does sound promising though.

ROBYN - May 1

Morning girls i had to catch up from last nights. NATASHA - progesterone will absolutely positively simulate pregnancy symptoms with exactly what you just said. I am so hoping its positive for you but its still too early you will get positive OPKs also i did those as well. SO i tried all the tricks of the trade (LOL. Youre best bet is to see what happens on the 14th day if its still showing positive then its a good sign because it should be leaving your system everyday. But in the reality of it its definitely 14 days for 10,000 units of hcg. My fingers are crossed that it will remain positive for you. Just keep us posted.

Kathy what a great opener and to incorporate Jamies poem was a beautiful way to start our new thread. I love it. Well i am in 0 pain from the HSG question for anyone who had this done recently i think KATT was last to do one. KATT do you remember if the RE numbed the area before he inserted the dye??? Because my RE does his own HSG because of the horror stories of the radiologists doing them. He numbed the entire area and i didnt feel a thing its actually more painful for a pap smear than this. So i was curious if you were numbed prior to the injection. I am waiting for the IVF nurse to call this morning i told her i was anxious and please dont make me wait too long for the procedure because i dont want that long of a delay. So they are awesome with returning calls. You know i also realized when you deal with an infertility clinic opposed to an OB since most of infertility is a "cash only" basis they treat you so much better than when you see an OB actually in a way i shouldnt say that my OB is absolutely incredible its his staff that sucks. But with my RE from the staff to the doctors they just treat you so much better never make you really wait for answers. NATASHA still crossing fingers for you.

Katt - May 1

Well that was just an awesome way to start my first day of May - Thank You KATHY!!! JAMIE_ Great poetry. I am glad you could share. NATASHA_ I am so hoping you get the BFP this cycle - Cheers! Gotta run boss is here. Be back later ;)

NicoleM - May 1

Morning girls. ROBYN, they did not numb me at all. I took a couple of alleve before I had mine, but it was still very uncomfortable. The cramping was pretty bad, but the worst part for me was when the dye was moving through and then spilling out into my abdomen. It was a very strange and cold sensation and I got very feverish, and shivery. They said it was normal to feel basically like you're having a bad bout of flu during the procedure. That was exactly how I felt. I'm glad it went to smoothly for you. NATASHA, praying for you. Hang in there. ..............................Well, I'm feeling kind of less hopeful today than I have been about the clomid. I've been doing some research (why am I so dang nosy)... anyway, it all says that clomid does not increase your chances of pg in women with unexplained infertility who O regularly. That's me. I'm trying so hard not to get bummed about it and stay hopeful. I do my shot today, but I don't really see the point since I always get an LH surge without a trigger. Oh well. Sorry to be a downer today. Love y'all.

Me and dh are having some issues, or at least he's having issues that are not of a good nature but I want the positive vibe to continue so I wont go into it. Just know Im here for you all. Could really use some good news soon. Love yas.

Morning ladies. Kathy thanks for starting a new thread. I had a horrible night with DS. I went to pick him up from school last night, and I see all the kids are playing outside except for Josh. I go inside and his teacher meets me at the door to his classroom and tells me "PLEASE DONT GET SCARED" . Needless to say I got really scared. I walked in to the classroom and there sits my son and his eyes are practically swollen shot. I almost had a heart attack. Apparently the teacher took them outside and within 5 minutes Josh had an allergic reaction to the polen flying around. I know he has hay fever, but I have never seen anything like it. Called his doc and he said dont worry I had 7 other cases like him today, go to the pharmacy, get him Claretin and have the pharmacy call me and I will put in a script for eye drops. To make a very long story short, Claratin DID NOT work. Eye drops DID NOT work and DH is supposed to bring him to the doc at 1:30. I am so upset and he is upset because his Mother's day show is today at 6. GRRRRR. I promised that we could go back to school for the show and he could be in it. His eyes are all itchy pussy and they are hurting him. I feel so bad, my poor baby. Anyway. I read all the posts, will call DS's school and will be back to respond. Love yas.

hey girls- just wanted to check in real quick and see how everyone is doing.MOMMY2JOSH-so sorry that your little boy is all swelled up. i know how it is when your eyes swell shut like that. dh burned some poison oak once and i had to go get an allergy shot because the next day my eyes were swelled shut. very painful. POOH- you are welcome to vent on here that is what we are all here for. we support each other and offer a shoulder to cry on when one another is feeling down.NICOLEM-i hadnt heard that about clomid not being as effective for women who ovulate on their own. i ovulate on my own and my doc puts me on clomid to increase my chances. dont get down. it will all work out. KATT_no problem i thought it was a good poem to share with my girls who are going through the same things.ROBYN-they didnt numb me for the hsg test. it was horrific for me to say the least..lol..the technicians were betting whether i would pass out or not. they said that they had women who had passed out before. needless to say i wasnt going to let them win by passing out..lol I also think that the re does treat me alot better than the ob. when i had to terminate the nurse at the re's office sat there holding my hand and cried right along with me. when i went for hcg beta to see if the #'s were dropping i went to ob for that and explained why i needed it and they were like ok and walked out of the room and had lab come and get me. my re calls to check up on me and the ob never did. i really like the re alot better.NATASHA-how are things going with you? did you test again? RHONDA-i know you wont be on for a few days but i wanted to let you know that we are all thinking of you. WELL take care all i have to get ready to take fil to his foot doc appt. i will be so glad when he is able to do for himself. i think he can now he just likes being babied. *groan* him and granny are getting on my nerves..lol

NicoleM - May 1

TANYA, poor baby! I hope Josh is feeling better soon - I know it's breaking your heart to see him that way. NATASHA and JAMIE, thanks for the encouragement! I need it today. POOH - so glad to see you! Feel free to vent if you feel like it. We all do! LOL! I hope your DH comes around and thanks so much for praying for all of us.............................Well, I did the hcg shot. I hardly felt the needle at all, but the spot on my tummy was pretty burny/achy for about 10 minutes. That was about it - no problem! I think DH will be glad he didn't have to do it. My only other complaint is the needle was SO small that it took forever to inject the 1cc. It was only 30 ga. Maybe next time I can at least get a 25 ga so it will go a little quicker. They are still tiny. Well, I'm off to run some errands. TTYL
