I'm 27 years old and have a healthy 3 year old. I've had 3 mc's this year!!! I can not keep them past 6 weeks. I'm assuming a LP defect, progesterone or something. I've had some blood test done and all came back normal and I'm ovulating! My husband and I have an appt. to see an RE on Nov.13. I've never been to an RE, what should I expect? I thought RE are for woman that couldn't conceive, I can conceive I just can't hold on to them... am I doomed for another child? What is an RE able to do in my situation? If you would know I would love to hear your response or your story.

Hi there, sounds like you have secondary infertility. I myself have had 4 mc's. All my tests did come back fine, or at least the RE said they did, turns out that while my LH hormone and FSH hormone were in range, my LH was higher than the FSH one, which should never be. Turns out my doc and RE didn't know what they were doing, I discovered that by looking into my files from months ago. Your RE will probally run all the same tests as they would for someone like me, checking hormones, maybe an HSG, but that is all I know. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Oh, all my mc's never went past 6 weeks either, so maybe you should check those 2 hormornes I mentioned above, especally if you have Kaiser, as I have. Goodluck

What treatment were you given? Did you carry full term?

Hi, I am currently recieving treatment now, or am about to. I have not been pregnant since the 4th mc. I am getting ready to go to shady grove for the next cycle. the plan was to do ovidrill and follitism injecitons with ultrasounds and bloodwork every other day, that way they can see if the egg is getting the signal from the hormone to be released at the right time. if not, they will release it when its ready and mature. i will then have normal relations with my husband. that was the plan, now that i have discovered that my lh hormone and dhea is high, they want to talk to me again and re evaluate things, but they might keep the same plan, i am currently waiting to hear back form them, but I will let you know what they say.

MY husband and I have been ttc for 1 year. I have had 2 m/c this year. Although I was diagnosed with MTHFR, I was told that that was not the problem. My LH levels are slightly elevated as well. I found this out after getting multiple positve ovulation tests. My RE said not to worry about it. My husband and I have been ttc now for 3 months. I am ovulating just not able to conceive. They are going to begin further testing as soon as I get AF. Should I worry about my LH levels? What did they do to correct it?

My appt isn't for another week and a half. I did speak with my OB's nurse and she said that all the testing including DNA is coming back normal and within range. I was telling her I just want to make sure what they have tested and have not because I don't want to go to an RE and start all over again and testing the same thing. Anyway, I will keep you posted on what or if I will be tested, I'm not sure. I will let you know what they say.
