almost 2 months ago, I had a miscarriage and D&C. It was my first pregnancy and first miscarriage. I was wondering if any of you out there have suffered a miscarriage and are now pregnant or trying to get pregnant?? What is the best course of action for me?

Hi Melissa. I cant really give you advice, because I am in the same boat. I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago. It was my first pregnancy too and I am very keen to get pregnant in the next month or two. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. On the up side I have heard that it is better to wait a couple of months like you have, so that you hormones and body can get over the miscarriage. I am feeling impatient!!

hey melissa. i totally feel your pain. i had a m/c and d&cin june at 14 weeks. i have been ttc since that so its been 6 months. i have been having some problems since that regu;ating my periods. i had one period after the m/c them went 4 months with no af. the doctor put me on provera and started af.....thats was 39 days ago, not pregnant and no af!! i am very scared that there is something wrong with me?? i wish you the best of luck and keep ttc. the doctors advise that you should wait at least one cycle, if its been 2 months i would get ttc. i found it very hard after the m/c i felt so cheated and sad,,, it does get better with time, the ttc pain doesnt get any better though.. i hope it all works out for you.. Baby dust and merry christmasZ!

I am very sorry to hear about your loss Melissa. It is very good that you are waiting to ttc again for a couple months.I m/c'd Oct 23rd at 8w. I didn't listen to my Dr's about waiting a couple months to let your body heal and I got pg right away(within 2 weeks.)Well I wish I would have listened because I m/c'd again Nov 21st. I am not really sure if that is true about letting your body heal because a girl that I know m/c'd the same exact day as me(Oct 23rd) and got pg right away and just found out she is almost 8w and doing fine.I think it all depends on everyones own body.I was told you should wait for 2-3 cycles to give your uterine lining a chance to build back up again so you don't have implantation problems. Well, I wish the best and tons of baby dust!

Hi Melissa, I had two m/c one in jan 2003 and another this past july. I am now 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and I'm praying that this one will last. I didn't think I would get pregnant this fast but I didn't give up trying. I would rather you take the steps you want. Some people need time others would want to start right away (like me) but don't give up. Your little one will come back to you sooner or later : )

Hi Melissa, I went through a m/c(& D&C) in Sept and am currently TTC again. I just started taking vitex as I think it may help. I will keep you posted on the outcome as I have only just started taking it a month ago. Vitex can take about 3 - 6 months to stimulate your hormones and improve on the chances of ovulation, but I have heard that some women only take it for a month and get pg. I don't want you to start anything without researching it first, so I suggest looking up herbal remedies on the internet first or asking other women how they go with taking medicines. I found out about vitex on the 'twins & triples' forum. I have slight endometriosisk so I have a few isses there and I have trouble with ovulation. Each woman is obviously different and we all have to find what is right for us. I don't believe there is a right or wrong way - just listen to others and decide what you think you feel most comfortable with.Good luck!
