Hi my name is Tinky me and my husband have been trynna concieve for 4 years now. I have been off the Depo-prevera shot for 5 years and have not been able to get pregnant. I have two daughters now, i had no trouble concieving them that's why now i don't understand the problem. I recently went to the doctor and they did all the blood work and pap smear and everything came back fine. So the nurse mentioned Clomid. So i have to go in this week to discuss that option with my doctor. My periods come every month faithfully, I have a 25 to 28 day cycle. I took those over the counter ovulation test and they show that i ovulate but i'm having a hard time understanding what;s going on. It frustrates me so much. I might go into a daze just thinking about being pregnant or if i see some one pregnant i start feeling down. This problem is really bothering my life all i want to do is get to the real reason of what's going on. I have been blaming the depo shot because before then i felt i didn't have a problem. So can someone please tell me what to do is Clomid an option or what. What should i do i am so scared, frustrated and all of the above. I had got to the point sex wasn't even worth it meaning i didn't want to do it i would be very moody behind this not being able to get pregnant. Could some one who's experienced problems and finally got their baby please help me. Me and my husband have been married for 4 years and we don't have kids together. I'm crying out for help cause has i type this i feel myself wanting to cry, it's a hurting feeling not being able to have kids and don't know why!!!!!!!!!

Tinky i dont know if this will ease some thing. i have been off of depo for 1 year. And in the mean time of being off depo i have not had me period in that 1year either. I am just know 1 year and 5 month later getting my period on a reg basis. I have always heard that depo can really mess up yur system and your patterns of knowing what is going on. So if it has been 1 year of being off depo just give it time. I try to tell my self the same thing- just give it time. My husband and i have been trying as well for 1 1/2 years too. good luck and hope this can help some.

I think you are a good candidate. Clomid will help you even if you are ovulating, by maturing the follicle, and possibly releasing more than one egg to mature. That will give you a better chance at conception. At least thats what I've been told. Don't give up hope. By the way, there was a thread going about depo, I'll see if I can find it for you. Maybe it will help. Good luck!!

Hi Tinky,

You said that your cycles are anywhere between 25-28 days.. you may have LPD (Luteal Phase Defect), whereby the 2nd half of your cycle is too short or your ovaries may not be producing enough progesterone or they may but your uterine lining is not responding. Have your Progesterone Levels checked out, have them monitor your next cycle and see if your lining (endometrium) is thick enough. Get agressive with ttc!! And positive thoughts to ya!
