Prenatal vitamins give you the extra amount of vitamins you need before and during pregnancy. it does not help at all with getting pregnant or not.

I HEARD THAT UR BODY WONT ALLOW U TO GET PREGNANT UNLESS U ARE HEALTHY AND THE VITAMINS MAY HELP OUT. I DONT KNOW GUESS NO..THANX

Of course the vitamins help out maybe I misunderstood your question I thought you thought they would assist you in getting pregnant. They do not do that. They help prepare you for things your body is lacking in vitamins.

Just make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin with enough folic acid - I forget the exact amount. Pre-natal vitamins can make you constipated because they have a lot of iron in them.... my doctor suggested a good multivitamin until I am pregnant, then switch to the pre-natal. But, I would ask your doc. Smiles and Babydust... T

Hi, I'm currently taking a prenatal vitamin by prescription only (in Canada) that has 5 mg of Folic acid. The fertility clinic recommends this high dosage b/c it reduces neural tube defects by 85% versus if you only take the .4mg (37% reduction in tube defects).

I take prenatals from GNC. I also take an additional folic acid supplement and Omega 3. Are you charting your BBT? Using opk's? Doing both will you know if you ovulate. GL
