i did 2 iuis with clomid. 1st one just clomid and iui the 2nd one clomid, follicle monitoring, and hcg trigger shot and iui. i got pregnant on the 2nd one and i think it was because it was timed better with the monitoring and the trigger shot. unfortunately i had to terminate because it was a tubal pregnancy. the doc said that was really unusual. he said that it was like a 1% chance of having a tubal for anyone getting pregnant and that i just had a run of bad luck. good luck and dont give up hope. i was on 50 mg clomid on cd 3-7 on both cycles. i get to try again in dec. because he wanted me to wait 3 months and give my tube time to heal.

Too all women who are trying hard to get pregnant. I have read some articles on clomid. I do not believe that it's a good fertilty pill. I also have taken clomid and lost my twins. Theres something with the clomid that has caused alot of miscarriages. Please do your research on all the side effects of clomid. Before attempting to take it.

Femara is a good option instead of clomid. It helps buid up a good uterine lining and it does not have bad side effects. It has the same success rate as clomid. It might be worth it to ask your doctor. Good Luck!

My first IUI with Clomid failed. Now my RE put me on IUI with injectable. I found my E2 level dropped dramatically before my ovulation day; anyone knows why? Is that my reason for infertility?

Hi, I was about to try my 1st IUI Jan.1 but unfortunately ny bloodwork I had done on day 8 of my cycle indictated i ovulated too soon in my cycle. So when I had my U/S on day 11 sure enough there were no mature follies. So obviously I couldn't be inseminated on Day 13. Anyway the OB-GYN recommended 42 day straight of birth control pills to regulate my hormone levels. Then we will try all over again. Has anyone ever have this problem before?
