I nursed my daughter for 19 months. I stopped nursing her at the end of Sept. My gyno said it could take several months, because I nursed so long. On 2/26 I had the worst cramps of my life. 2 days later I woke up feeling so PMS that I could barely function. I expected my period within 2 weeks of the 26th, and still nothing. I was especially weepy this past Saturday. I took a pregnancy test that afternoon, but it was negative.
My husband & I would love to have a 2nd child. I'm 43 years old. My mom started menopause early, but I don't think I'm having menopause symptoms. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, or know someone that took this long to get their period after weaning?
