Question about my basal therm. reading

Hi,
Does anyone have experience reading the basal chart? I took my temp this month and my temp on day 19 was 97.2. Isn't that low? Could it mean that I am not ovulating? From what I understand after ovulation your temp should go up due to progesterone. HELP!

I just posted about my successful ovulation on clomid. I also temp and I the blood work showed that I did ovulate and my highest temp was 97.3. It was a thermal shift for me as my average was 96.4or5 I hope I answered your question good luck

Kim,
Thanks a bunch! That makes me feel much better. I am going to keep taking taking my temp the rest of my cycle... I start clomid during next af.

You have to find YOUR pattern. Take your temp every day. On the day or two AFTER the last day of fertile CM (your peak day) you should see a thermal shift. Once you see it, draw a line above the last highest temps. it's your "cover line" and your temp should NOT fall below that until your period. If it does: 1: you may not be ovulating 2. you may have a progesterone problem. Note; this may take a few months to understand your pattern. My period and pre-fertile and temps hover around 97.2. My spike is usually only to about 97.7 to around 98. My cover line is around 97.5. My post ov. temps never fall below 97.5, so I'm pretty sure my progestrone is okay. Hope this helps.

Oh, and you may not have ovulated YET....especially under stress, ovulation can occur later in a cycle. Just keep taking it until you see a rise (or, for you, maybe even a dip at your period).

Where can you buy basal therm. I live in Tennessee and I haven't seen them around anywhere.

I bought mine at Target. It was in front of the Pharmancy where the HPT, KY jelly, condoms, etc. are located :)
