provera help to shrink a cyst???anyone heard of this

Have you heard of provera being used to help get rid of a cyst? My doc has me on a 10 day course of provera to help shrink a 4cm cyst that i have on my left ovary. I have looked alllll over the net and have not found anyone who has been treated this way. I trust my doctor but its always nice to know of personal experiences. After the provera i start clomid! And i cant start the clomid till the cyst has gone.

I used Provera to start my af. I haven never heard of it shrinking cysts. I myself have a cyst on my left ovary, and it sure as heck isn't shrinking! I have taken Femara too to help me ovulate, and my dr didn't say anything about waiting till my cyst was gone to start that.
