pregnancy after LEEP

My husband and I decided to try for our 3rd child in March. We got pregnant right away with our other 2. I went to my gyno to have my pap and to have a pre pregnancy exam. She said my uterus was a little large. I had a sonogram and everything was normal. She said to come back when I got pregnant. A week later I get a call that my pap was abnormal had to have a colposcopy. The dr. said there were 2 spots that looked abnormal but did not look cancerous. I got a call last week that I have severe dysplasia and now have to have LEEP has anyone ever had to have a LEEP and went on to have a normal pregnancy? How long did it take to get pregnant?

I had a Leep in 1996---I was 21. Now, I am trying to get pregnant! No success after 14 months of trying. I was told the only potential risk would be my cervix would be to thin and have to be sewn shut---- I say no big deal!! Lastmonth, I had a HSG test to see if I had scar tissue blocking my fallopian tubes. Most people have no pain---Me??? OMG,It hurt when the catheter was inserted into my cervix to my uterus. I think that may mean that I had scar tissue blocking the sperms pathway.... Just my theory though. Good luck with the Leep. It was a breeze for me. If they offer IV anesthesia take it though---- it will make you want to be there. I had nothing but a little numbing shot into my cervix, and I almost jumped off the table when hr cutme.... Whew---- it was smokey.

I had a Leep in 2000, and a myomectomy in 2002. I was extremely worried that I would not be able to get pregnant after that. However, my husband and I found out we were pregnant back in January and are due the first week of October. I've had a few complications (subchorionic bleed resulting in bedrest ) and I'm at risk for pre-term labor, but all is well otherwise.

Good luck to you!
