Pregnancy after HSG

I was on this forum a few years ago from 2005-2006 by the name of "nila" and it was a difficult experience I ever been thru(infertility) but with the info and inspiration I received from women in the same boat as me on this forum was very uplifting. We would speak abt our HSG testing, results, and hopes for a baby-bump. My daughter is now 3 going on 4yrs old Dec 23, and it was amazing how I bought her home on Christmas day. As I view this forum 4years later, it just bought back so many memories. I wish u ladies luck with TTC. It will happen with Love, Support and Faith :-)

Hello everyone! I am 28 yrs old, been married for 4 yrs and started ttc about 7-8 months ago and here I am..still trying...I went to my ob, got all my blood tests done everything came back normal...had the hubby checked and she said his sp cnt was normal at 45 mill... I have a regular 27-28 day cycle and ovulate every month around the same time 12-14 cd...we have tried every day, every other day n nothing..I tried taking mucinex every cycle, cut out caffeine completely, I stay in bed for 30 mins after bding, etc..I have also tried clomid for a month which I dont know why the ob said it was ok since I already ovulate on my own! it just lengthened my cycle from 26 days to 27 days so I quit taking it after a month...
Last month I did an Hsg thinking this might help me since many girls have gotten pregnant after it..I thought this was my month since my period was 2 days late n its never late but af came yesterday:( I dont know what else to do..I have a fertility spec appt tom and Im going to see if I can do an IUI this month since maybe Im doing something wrong who knows? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! this is my 2nd month after hsg so Im hoping for a miracle!

Hi girls, I am new to this forum. Thank God, I found you all. Little information about me : I am 29,and dh is 32. we have been ttc for almost a year. I have tried 3 cycles of IUI, 1 with clomid. Nothing worked for us. Then I changed my fertility doc. My new doc. wants me to IUI with injectables,as clomid didn't work for me. Btw, I have really normal 28 day cycle, ovulation on day 14-16. All other tests are also norma. So, last month I have done HSG,that was also normal. But seems like it has made my ovulation earlier.so,I don't know,but keeping my fingure crossed.

To time4amiracle,

It seems like your situation is mostly similar to mine. I know exactly how you feel,but don't worry. We all will definitely be blessed by a wonderful miracle soon.I have done my HSG 01/17/2011,and I am due for my af on feb 6th or so. I am keeping my fingure crossed. Btw,this month I didn't have any ovulation sign like cervical mucus,which I have generally every month. sorry for TMI. I don't have any symptom so far. so, let see......

your situation does sound similar! so u ovulate on ur own and the doc still put u on clomid for the IUI? hmm this is my 2nd cycle after hsg and the last natural cycle we are going to do before moving onto IUI...I was thinking I would ask the doc if he thinks I should take clomid or shots and see what happens..Im alittle afraid of having multiples tho:/ regardless I want to try it out before moving onto IVF...so many of my friends have babies cuz of IVF its just so damn expensive! so lets see what happens..any advice on IUI would be greatly appreciated!

ya, I always ovulate by my own. My cycle is pretty regular,evnthough my doc wanted me to do IUI with clomid;which didn't work. Because of that,my new doc want me to do IUI with clomid,and injectables.But, I am kind of afraid of getting injectables. I did hsg this month. It seems like nothing happening. I am out for this month,cause no symptoms,nothing. Also, I think I missed ovulation this month;as hsg made it earlier. We haven't decided about next month. My af is due around feb 7th. Also, if clomid doesn't work for you then ask your doc about "femara". I have heard that for some of them femara works better than clomid. Hope, this cycle works for you. so I tried clomid as well in dec and it didnt do anything for me other than delay my period..my cycle was perfect before i took clomid exactly 26 days and now its like 28 and then I did the hsg end of dec...so that totally screwed up my ovulation went from day 12 to day 15! I think I also had missed my ovulation the month after the hsg and it delayed my period for 2 days..so now I went to a fertility specialist he thinks IUI will work for me but i told him i want to try naturally first and then if it doesnt work Ill take the injectables but not clomid I just dont think it works for me..so I might do the natural iui this wknd if i get my lh surge lets c..If it doesnt work then Ill do one more iui w/ injectables and if that doesnt work either than Im just gonna do IVF cuz its worked for many of my friends...wish u luck! keep me updated!!

Wish you good luck with your IUI. When I took clomid, it did same thing to me. It delayed my cycle,and made it for 32 days. Since then my cycle has been between 30 to 32 days, before it was exactly 28 days.

Update on my side is I just got my AF. It has arrived 1 week before:(. Anyway, I will wait for AF to be over,and then we will again try naturally for next month. Wish you good luck,and lots of baby dust. Pray for me too.

So i didnt end up doing the natural iui...it would cost me about 1300 bucks and I dont think that it will work anyway so why would I waste money on somethin w such a low success rate u know? anyway I saw a new specialist and she said I should try iui w/ clomid...u said u did that but it didnt work rite? so what do u think is it worth doing? Im just gettin so frustrated now I just don't want to waste time and money on somethin that won't work....let me know what you think if i should try it or not..are u doing the injectables now?

HEY IM NEW HERE BUT ME AND MY HUBBY ARE TTC I HAD A HSG DONE LAST MTH (JAN) AND GOT MY AF A WEEK AGO NOW WE ARE TTC AGAIN MTH 2 AFTER THE HSG. I HAD MINOR BLOCKAGE (MUCAS PLUG) WHICH THE RE SAID WAS MOVED DURING THE PROCEDURE... IM HOPING I GET PREGGO THIS MTH *FINGER TOES AND NOSE CROSSED*

sorry for the late reply. Well,I am not doing injectables. We want to get it done naturally. I have left everything upto God. Right now we are not thinking about injectables.We don't know about future. About you, I would say talk to your doc,and ask him that what will be your option as clomid didn't work for you. Hey ladies,
Me and my husband were ttc for more than a year. This January I finally decided to go to the infertility clinic. They did alot of tests then came the hsg. Which I had done at the beginning of March. Now April I had been feeling really tired and my breast were felling tender. I decided to take a pregnancy test, didn't give it much thought because I have taken so many and they've all been negative that I want really expecting the results that I got. Turns out I'm pregnant. ;) A little over a month after my HSG test. I do believe that it had to do alot with me resulting in pregnancy. Have faith :) maybe it can happen to you too!

It totally worked for me!! I had been trying for 7yrs but didn't have any insurance until I got married. Went in for the HSG and BD on my fertile days and ovulation days and totally missed my menstrual that I hadn't missed in 10yrs (my daughter is 10yrs old)... So I knew I was pregnant!!!:) I'm now 6mths pregnant and It's been a wonderful experience.Baby Dust and prayers to all that is still trying and waiting on there bundle!! Don't give up:)

This forum is so inspiring...I have been trying for #2 for more than a year now and no success and had my HSG done some 2 weeks back.Not sure what is gonna happen towards the end of this month :(( Actually my question was I read many of the forums where some of them said " got pregnant after 4 days of HSG!!!" how did you find out that u were preg after just 4 days? Were you testing after 4 days or its after the pregnancy was confirmed you say this as per the conception date ?? I am so confused...the wait to get pregnant is totally frustrating and with nuthing wrong I duno how long it is still going to take :"( Please helpppp
