Brooke, let me know how it goes. I hate this waiting game! Sunnypea, sperm usually lives 2-3 days, so you still have a small chance. My DH left town on the 22nd & I ovulated March 23rd. I came home for a quickie at lunch on the 22nd to get as close as possible to my ovulation - LOL! I think I'm losing it - my lunch was 2 hrs long! oops ;o)

Hi all. I am 30 yr old and DH 29 I had my HSG done on Feb 17th. Nothing exciting in March. I got my Ps. I really like to know if HSG helps. This is my second cycle and I am losing hope. I'd been trying for 10 months. I am not using ovulation kits. Do I really need to use them if I am following the ovulation calendar? Can any one answer my questions please? Thank you and good luck to you all.

Hi Nica,
You said that you had the HSG last year and it took you one year after that to get preg. Did you take clomid? Just curious. Glad to hear that you are pregnant

I had an HSG on March 6th. Ovulated on March 24th and still do not have my period (12 DPO) which is 1 day late - I usually get my period at 11 DPO. Negative PG testing .... anyone else have their cycle lengthened after HSG w/ no PG??? Do I have a hope of being PG this cycle?

I had the hsg today, everything is normal (tubes are clear), even though i have one ovary my progestene level was normal and i too heard that chances of getting prg increase after hsg but in my case i have to wait for one month as i was given rubella(german measals) shot 2 weeks back. Good Luck to all of you.

Hi I'm new and i enjoyed readind every thing you ladies had to say. I had my hsg done on march 20th it was not painful at all(praise GOD). they said everything was fine except i had spasm or blockage in my right tube. My left one is fine. Ihad a tubal reversal on 6/2004 had 2 miscarriges 1 in6/2005 and the 2 in 10/2005. Done all the tests they say they don't know why but it's all in God's timing. I pray that the hsg helps me and every one else here trying. Hope everyone the best . How are me, Deby, SH and xiaotuzi doing.

I had HSG done and 4 days later conceived. I am not at 11 wks and very excited. We had been trying to conceive for 10 months and my husbands counts came back great and the HSG showed that I did not have blockages. I guess I just needed to "clear the pipes" as my dr. so eloquently put it.
I am a total believer that this test is wonderful. I do have to say that it was very painful for me however. Part of the reason was that my cervix did not want to open for it and they had to open it.That also could have been related to us not conceiving I would think.

I didn't know that an HSG increased chances of pregnancy. I'm 21 and had a HSG test done on april10th, and been trying to concieve for about a year. The doctor has just started sending me for tests. Maybe just MAYBE this will help. Can an HSG test also interfere with your cycle does anyone know?

natmick - April 12th, 2006 6:37 PM

Oh and the HSG wasn't that painful, I forgot to take my ibuprofen before nothing unbearable, just like regular menstral cramps.

julia74 - April 13th, 2006 11:59 AM

Natmick HSG can mess up your cycles. BABY DUST!!!!!

natmick - April 14th, 2006 6:08 PM
