I am experiencing it now. I don't feel quite as bad to need to go to the ER, but sitting is uncomfortable and I feel a constant pain on both sides of my abdomen.

Holly- Fortunately it only lasted a day and I didn't need to really take anything. It's all worth it in the end. It may be a very Merry Christmas this year!

Hi Ladies-
I was just wondering how long you had experienced ovulation pain with the clomid. I am set to ovulate probably tomorrow, but I have been feeling side pain for almost a week! I called my doc and he said to go to the ER as it might be appendicitis. I really don't think it is but I'd feel better if somebody out there felt this ovulation pain for as long as I have. How scary to think it may always be this painful now!!

I am on my 5th round of clomid. And this cycle has been the most painfull for me. Almost cant stand up. I took some Pamprin and some IB Profin. Its helped a little bit. But my fertility doctor says that its perfectly normal to feel like that when you ovulating. And even sex is painfull and hard to do sometimes. I depends on how bad you want it what you tolerate i supose. Cause it sucks how bad it hurts.

Wow, I am glad I found this thread! I am on cycle day 16 and took 50mg of clomid cd 5-9. I had my first positive opk yesterday (the day before was negative), and then this morning another opk was positive. The husband and I got to bd'ing right away. But I have been experiening the throbbing pain on both sides of my abdomen as well. It is not so bad that I can't walk, but it is there and very uncomfortable. It comes and goes. I was diagnosed as having mild pcos. I was ovulating, but intermittently, or not at all. I would have big gaps between cycles. Anyways..I hope this works out for me. When I get home from work the husband and I are going for round two =)

hiya all on my first round on clomid i ended up in hospital with bad pains in my stomach had a scan and shown up a cyst on my ovary but had a few since the age of 14 and now iam 23 but the doc who put me on clomid saw me and said it was the clomid what was causeing the pain because i was ovulating and it should go and they sent me home then within 8 days my partner found me out cold on the floor and was rushed in the hospital again but they said it could not be the clomid cos i had stoped ovulating and it could have been the cyst what was causeing the pain.

but i have found out that clomid causes pain and mood swings. but at teh end of the day if u want a kid its worth the pain i say

I did 100mg of clomid and had some pain in the region of my ovaries during ovulation. I just finished 150mg and this ovulation cycle was VERY painful. I almost went to the ER. Now that ovulation is over the pain is going away though. I was also extremely nauseous during that time. The dr said these are side effects, but the pain was intense this time, I never thought about cysts. Is clomid known to cause ovarian cysts??
