I have a theory. In response to pgdream, I too agree with the fact that Ovulex is an aid in preparing your body for pregnancy rather than achieving the pregnancy itself. It is supposed to regulate your hormones so that concieving becomes a viable concern in the menstrual process. I too am taking ovulex, but accompanied by charting temps and cervical fluid to ascertain ovulation, I stop taking Ovulex once my data indicates ovulation. I have conceived twice since taking it 4 months ago and my problem seems to be sustaining the zygote in my uterine wall and this could be the result of any number of conditions which is under investigation. Ovulex contains natural ingredients, there are no artificial drugs involved. But ultimately it's down to your individual faith and hope in whether you think a product is beneficial for your particular circumstance. Baby dust to everyone and I hope we all get what we wish for.

hi every one, AF came early this time, two weeks after taking ovulex to be exact,..it was a little bit heavier then usual..am on my 9th day of this cycle..i found out that i could check if am ovulationg by checking the changes in the opening of the cervix(called os cervix)it gets higher and softer in ovulation...well i need to check it every day to notice any changes..at the moment, nothing has changed,it's still hard and seems to be closed,..you can get more informations on the trick by just googling OS CERVIX IN OVULATION, and every thing will come up...you can even get it ilustrated by clicking see IMAGE,..just wanted to chare..hope you'll find this useful..AND one more thing there's a doctor in the univercity of manchester that suggested that when the woman reaches the orgasme her vagina pushes the sperm into the uterus(in this case the os cervix opens widely) and this increases the chances of conception ,which looks good,...i don't want to be long...hope the best for all

My sister-in-law and I have both taken the product. She had to terminate the pregnancy because at 16 weeks her childs head was at 18-19 weeks. In my case, my child is without arms and is hydrocephalic (water on the brain) this can lead to the baby aborting itself, a vegitable at birth, or even death after born. My doctor is also telling my husband and I we might have to terminate as well. Its very upsetting, since we've been trying to conceive for the past year and for this to happen. I just want others to be aware of whats really going on with this product.

boobookitty, i'm realy sorry to hear that, can you tell me plz how long have you been on ovulex??and did your doctor determin the reason for what happened to your fetus..i hope it has nothing to do with ovulex, but if you think it does, let me know, thank you

KIM123,

I'm sorry for the delayed response we were getting settled at the new duty station. I'm not sure the role clomid might have played in my miscarrying one of my twins, it's so complicated and I'm not sure I have the expertise to make a correct assumption. In my opinion I would say no, but it is a hormone altering med so it could had caused a shift in my progesterone causing the miscarriage. On the plus side I AM 8 WEEKS PREGNANT!!!! No clomid, No ovulex!! I used vitamins and baby aspirin and mucinex. I took baby aspirin every day form day 1 of my cycle, mucinex the pill form with NO EXTRA INGREDIENTS just the decongestant, from day 10-16. I took a prenatal, extra folic acid and a B-6 everyday. That is all I used, all over the counter and cost me less then a bottle of any type of fertility aide. The aspirin helps lengthen your lutenizing phase, mucinex to increase cervical mucex, the vitamins for healthy growing enviorment. It worked for me and I was skeptical and ready the throw in the towel. I'm barely on here if anyway has a question about what or how I did just email me nicolejmatthews@yahoo.com.

GOOD LUCK AND BABY DUST TO ALL!!!

Hi all, Its so good to be able to read all your stories, really helps me along. I have been ttc for just over a year and so far have been told my husband and I have 'unexplained infertility' - off to the clinic to start tests soon and dont really want too! I too have just ordered ovulex and ready to start taking it, but am worried as well as excited about it. Does anyone know if it helps where you have regular periods and seem to be ovulating every month (as I seem to be) or could it be harmful and mess around with my periods?

cammie40 - December 20th, 2007 10:53 PM

Hi cutie, I have a different issue as to why I cant concieve. I have gotten pregnant but miscarriaged. I was already irregular with my mentrual but after then I dont even get a period barely once or twice in a year. Im in my early twenties and the docs want to keep me on birth control to regulate my cycle but I just hate taking birth control pills for that reason. Do anyone know if ovulex regulate your cycle and help ovulation. cuz I have to start all the way from base one in conception. lol trying to stay positive

I Have been ttc for 2 years and had a miscarrige 8 months ago. I have just started taking ovulex. I am really excited to see if it works. does anyone know what the side affects are? I was wondering if I should take ovluex with prenatal vitamins?

ummyaseen08 - February 8th, 2009 8:20 PM

I took ovulex and at about three weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Because I was unware if the product used gelatin in their capsules I opened the capsules and let the ingredients fall into my orange juice and took it that way. Please call the company to find out if this is healthy. To be honest I never did but I have a beautiful baby boy who is healthy. I was one of those people who doubted everything and now I actually will depend on ovulex when planning my second baby. It really works so try it.

Hi, I came across this post and wanted to tell you my story. My husband and I begain TTC in July 2005. We never went and saw a doctor about infertility or anything, we knew what the problem was - my irrgular periods. I came across this product online and figured why not, the worst that could happen is I simply wouldn't get pregnant, so we purchased it. I begain taking it in August 2007 and became pregnant in October 2007. We welcomed our beautiful daughter in July 2008. We've decided we are going to wait untill our daughters second birthday to begin trying for our second birthday, but I do fully intend on using Ovulex again. I'm not saying this is why I suddenly was able to get pregnant, but I do think it helped. My periods have always been very irregular unless on birth control, and obviously that won't help me get pregnant. I plan to keep using birth control untill about June 2010 and then begin the Ovulex. Hopefully we'll be pregnant by August.
Ovulex helped keep my periods super regular though and I think that really helped me in getting pregnant.
Good luck to you all though and baby dust your way.

One of the main ingredients in Ovulex is Vitex (aka, Agnus castus, chaste tree, monk’s pepper). Vitex is a very inexpensive OTC herb you can get at the drug store. Some recommend trying Vitex for three months before trying the more expensive Ovulex. They are suppose to do the same thing. (source reliableinfertilityanswers.com/ovulex-
first-do-your-homework).

Advantages
of Ovulex:
1. 1005 natural
2. several women report it worked for them

Disadvantages of Ovulex:
1. costly
2. doesn't work for all women
3. some women report trouble returning the product
