I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this. I have been on birth control for 5 years first depo. then ortho tri cyclen for the other 4 yrs. I stopped taking them in Jan. 2006 got a period in feb. then didn't get one again so i went to gyno. and got provera and finally got my period a week ago right after i finished the pills. DH and i have been tring for a baby but gyno says i don't ovulate. I had an abortion when i was 15 which i've regretted ever since and got pregnant the only time we didn't use protection. how could i have gotten pregnant so fast then but now it's so hard? is there anything i can take to make my hormones balance again? has anyone been back to normal after birth control? i used to have my period everyother month after b/c.

Sweetie, I hope someone answers you! I just came to this forum, I was going to ask something about the same. First, I have two children already. After the second, doc put me on progestrin only pills. I stopped having AF when I was on those, but they said that was okay. I went off them in Jan, and have had a few periods since then, but always irregular and messed up. I tend to get bad cramps, thinking my period is coming, but nothing. Do you get that by any chance? Anyone know what we should do?

Saird, I also was on those progestrin pills to stop my af as i was having her for 13 days. When i was on them for 1 cycle i looked up in the net about some info on that pill. It said that ladies that have taken progestrin pill should go on a conbind birth contol pill to make their cycle regular. My gyno has put me on yasmin for 4 months as she thinks i have a hormone imbalance. Maybe you should go and talk to you doc about your situation as you may have to go on the pill for a little while to get you body back on track. I hope i helped you a little bit. By the way the progesrin pills i was on was called primolut N, which ones did you take?

Hi Ladies! I just want to invite you all to the thread...WELCOME...ttc on clomid. Most of the ladies on this thread had the same problems that you all are having. All of us are now on a fertility drug called clomid. It is supposed to make you ovulate. This is my second month on it, so I am pretty new to this whole thing, but we are all learning and supporting one another. Come over and see! Alot of your questions are answered in the previous comments!

Thanks Kristieh. I didn't know that. Would it still make me irregular like6-8 months after i've been off it though? I can't remember what kind I was on. I was on them for about a year.

my gyno said that i also have hormonal imbalance and it's just one of those cases that there's no answer for. I'm taking some pills called fertility blend from gnc so i'm hoping that will work i just started so maybe it'll make me all balanced again.

I was thinking that I may just have hormonal imbalance as well. Did you order your fertility blend off the net Summertime?

summertime - July 31

no i just went to gnc and bought some but you can buy them on-line too.

i first heard about it on this web site though i can't remember where. someone had said she had been ttc and they used fertility blend and on the 3rd month she got pregnant. I hope we get that lucky, i read on the instructions that it takes 3-5 months for it to actually make a difference but if you do't conceive in 6 months of taking it then you should go to the doc. i guess i'll try this first and if it doesn't work then i'll try clomid.

if this fertility blend stuff really works and i get preggo in 3 months or so i'll be sure to let everyone know about it
