Hi am - First congrats on taking the step towards becoming a mom. My advice to you is to not be surprised if you don't get pg right away. My hubby and I started last April and still aren't pg yet. It can be a long road. Take it in stride. Also get a prenatal vitamin from your ob/gyn very important. If after 6 months you aren't pg don't wait to seek additional help. I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. We went to a reproductive specialist and he is working with us to help us get pg. You don't have to wait a year. Most Ob/gyn's are very lax about all this. It's your body and your life and you have to be your own advocate. It's an exciting time but understand that it's not as easy as it seems. Best of luck!!!

also am- if you know you have endo, if you havent already you may suggest having a lap done or the hsg dye test to see if your tubes are blocked. i have a friend with endo and she and i are both trying to get pregnant and she had to have a lap to remove scar tissue that the endo caused. the prenatals are good advice some women have vitamin deficiencies and the prenatals help with that. like lucky said it can be a hard road and you may not get pregnant right away but dont get discouraged. keep your chin up and think positive even on the days when you want to give up..lol..also my doc told me not to take any meds except regular stregnth tylenol while ttc in cause you do get pregnant.good luck to you on your ttc journey and i hope that all works out for you.

i agree with slow- have a lap. it can be the best thing for you. i regret not doing it sooner. i did 2 IUIs before doing my lap and i should have just done the lap to begin with. my period are much more regular now and my pms is minimal. it was horrible pms before the lap. the lap was easy and they found 5 mild spots of endo, a swollen ovary and a cyst. after having a lap, your body can be much more fertile oftentimes...i've heard stories of women getting pregnant a month or two after their lap. the endo and other problems they might find during the lap can affect your fertility. i say get the lap done and get it out of the way first. good luck!

Thanks for all the advice. I have had 2 laps the last one 3 and 1/2 yrs ago, but I just finished my lupron therapy and have been on BC for 3 months. I don't hurt near as much as I use to and for the most part feel pretty good. I'm probably going to try until I finish nursing school which will be in Dec 2007 (YES!!!!!!!!!) and then if nothing has happened I will take it to the next step. Any more advice would be much appreciated. I could ask my mom (she had 5 children:)) but I want to keep it a secret that we are going to start trying. This will be her first grandchild. Any more help will be great
