Matt...like so many have said, i am sorry you are going through this. I agree with Ann. Also, many people have a c-section and no issues at all. Also, so much can change up to delivery that she may not need a c-section. My friend had one last year and she seemed perfectly fine and her scar is all healed and just about 2 inches long now. Be supportive and maybe get somebooks on c-section. Much luck to you and your wife.

Matt-Maybe its fear talking. Maybe she is really fearful about having to go through the c-section, and the health and affects on the baby. I dont think re-assuring her will be the answer, but its just another angle of thought. I agree, it sounds like she needs some professional help, and if she wont agree to that, then at the very least, talk her her Dr and let him know whats going on. Like Ann said, get her on here. She will get lots of support and positive thoughts through the rest of her pregnancy. Try to find out why and what she is so fearful of..Good luck to you both and your baby! Let us know how you make out and keep us updated.

Matt - If Marcie is close to her mother and hasn't already told her how she feels it may also be worth you or her calling her mother as women often listen to their mums - I know I do. Or a sister if she has one. Though it sounds like you'll need to get professional help too.

My heart goes out to you, Matt. This is a really tough situation that you are in. Your wife is blessed to be carrying a child, and a lot of woman would die to be pregnant like she is. A c-section isn't a horrible thing. I'm actually thinking of opting for a c-section. I think you should listen to these woman and either call her ob/gyn or call a therapist and physically make her go. She needs to listen to woman who are pregnant and have been pregnant, and talk it through. Sorry Matt. My prayers are with you.
