MALE IMPOTENSE.....

My doctor told my best chance on conceiving was Monday. I tried to bd with dh last night & he couldn't perform. We tried 3 times 10 pm, 2am & 6:30 this morning. Things started out o.k. he could get an erection but it wouldn't last. He didn't ejaculate any of the 3 times but I did feel a little of something come out. (sorry if this is 2 much info) My question is do you think I could get pregnant from this? I'm so devastated because I was so sure last night would it. I know it's not his fault & I don't want to be mad at him. But aghh, it's so frustrating. My bad luck continues, why can't things go right!

Maybe your husband is feeling a lot of pressure to perform. That can halt all of your efforts. Psychologically your husband may not be able to handle the pressure of "This is the time" or "It has to be now". I know because I have done this to my DH. Try making BD a fun experience as much as you can. Buy something sexy to your husband and next time surprise him. Goodluck.

He has had problems before when he knew I was ovulating. That's why I don't tell him anymore. So I don't think that was the case this time. I was also wondering if Viagra & other drugs for impotense have any effect on ttc. Are they safe for him to use or does it effect sperm? Thanks for your help Kathy=}

I am not sure if viagra or other ed drugs would effect sperm. Go to Viagra.com. This is what I read on viagra website: There was no impairment of fertility in rats given sildenafil up to 60 mg/kg/day for 36 days to females and 102 days to males, a dose producing an AUC value of more than 25 times the human male AUC.
There was no effect on sperm motility or morphology after single 100 mg oral doses of VIAGRA in healthy volunteers.

My husband had the same problem and I believe it was from drinking or recreation drugs such as marijuana. I talked with him about it and since then he has quit everything. I know these things can seriously affect the sperm. Could also be the pressure. good idea on not telling him when your ovulating. When you know your going to ovulate soon, save the sex till then. it helps to build up his sperm count and he'll want it more.

Thanks again Kathy, I will check out the Viagra website. I really appreciate you posting what you read. DH & I did have some really good bding saturday & he didn't have any problems finishing then. I was ovulating then but I think Monday would have been the best of the days. I just hope some of his little guys stuck around that long. Thanks to Crystal also, my dh used to drink alot & has been alcohol free for almost a year. Believe it or not he had less problems with maintaining an erection then. I've heard that when you quit drinking it can do something to your libido. Babydust!!

I think maybe you shouldn't divulge too much info to DH...Puts much pressure on them . I suggest just being cool about it . :) I doubt he needs any meds for this unless it happens too often... :~)

Sweetie !!! if it has happend before when you were ovulating thats a HUGE indication!! He is feeling pressured, youre best bet is to not tell him anything about your O day. You don't need viagra he will probably be upset about that...You need to just keep it hush ..No one ever said you need to tell DH every single thing!

As I said before, I don't tell him anymore when I'm ovulating. So that was not the case this time. As far as the Viagra goes, he wouldn't be upset because he's taken it in the past I was just wondering if it was safe to take while ttc. Thanks anyway=}
