Not telling in general is super easy for me. I am a really private person. I just want to tell, because I am uncomfortable. But, I hear my RE saying, "Well don't announce to the world that you are pg for at least a couple of weeks" (because of the clot). I thought he could have worded it better. He also said to call if I was spotting but to "call immediately if I wake up in a pool of blood or something." I prefer straight-forwardness, but I thought he could use a little bedside manner when he just scared me about a m/c. I am so glad you have more follies!! YEA!!! Are there any they are measuring yet?

Ann, I cannot believe the insensitivity (read cruelty) of some drs. There ought to be a test for bedside manner they need to pass b/f they get a license - ya know? The ones he measured are 10 and 15 on the left and 9, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12 on the right. He also said he sees a few smaller ones on the right. I really think he missed some on the left b/c it is always sooooo hard for them to see the left one well and there were 2 @10 on Sunday, so I think the 10mm he saw today was a different one than the one he saw on sun b/c it couldn't still be at 10 today. I mean, unless it just stopped growing, but that never happened to me before. I also read that they miss a lot of follied b/c it is only a 2 dimensional image. Did you ever get a count of antral follies?

Elyse, is your dr going to give you that shot to slow down the lead follie, since it is so far ahead of the others? I have never heard of antral follies, so I doubt they were ever included in my count. What are they? Follies hidden that you can't see on the 2-dimensional image? I've had follies stop growing before that hadn't made it to 12mm yet but never one over that.

Hey - another follie check today. now they see 7 between 12 and 17mm on the left and 6 between 10 and 15mm on the right. I am so relieved. They didn't say anything about the shot to slow the lead down. i will go back tomorrow for one last check and trigger tomorrow night. May be I will ask tomorrow. E2 is a healthy 1816. How you doing, Ann?

Elyse, that is great! It sounds like you will get at least 10 eggs!! I am doing fine--nothing new with me. Does that mean your ER will be on Saturday?

Elyse - July 19

ER will be sat and I don't even want to hear about transfer until thurs (wishful thinking). lol. Why do you think only 10? I am hoping the 10's to grow another 4-6 by Sat morning (again - wishful thinking)

Elyse - July 19

oh yeah, it seems that antral follicles are all the follicles that are present at the beginning of a cycle that will grow during that cycle. Looking a them is a way of determining ovarian reserve, etc.

I just figured w/13 follies you should at lease get 10 eggs. It will definitely depend on how big the 10s get. My old RE said that he has found eggs in follies as small as 14mm, so you could get more! When do they make the decision to freeze some? At day 3? I bet you will have some for day 5 transfer. How many are you going to get transferred?

Elyse - July 19

I also read that mature eggs are found in 14's. They won' freeze day 3 embies, only day 5 - they are more hearty. They will transfer only 2 on day 5, but maybe 3 on day 3 if it doesn't look like there are a lot left to last til day 5 - depends on the grading they get.

He Ladies - how about a bump? See you at "Life after IUI 7..."
