Galina - April 18

welcome to our new thread...

Ann1 - April 18

Galina, I am trying to block the shots out. I tried thinking about them last time and telling myself it was no big deal, but it didn't help when the injection time came around. Is it your office move week or are you moving residences?

Galina - April 18

Hi Ann, it is an office move and more hectic than I thought. So many files and there are going to be like 2 days when I have no phones and no computer access. Have you tried practicing that visualization technique stuff when it comes to the shots? Maybe that might help...

ChristinaC - April 18

i'm sorry Ann you're having a hard time with the shots, they'll be over soon enough! Galina you have alot on your plate too!!

Ann1 - April 18

Yes, I have been trying to do the visualization twice per day. Needless to say, I missed last night and this morning! I hope af starts soon, so I can get into the dr this week. I have a feeling that I am going to have problems with his new office not functioning well. I called last Thursday for prescription of my prenatal vitamins, and I am yet to hear back. Not a good sign...wow, 2 days without computer and phone?? In a way that sounds nice, but when you have access again your days will be insane. I forgot to ask you, on what day did you actually O?

i was so bad, i had to eat a burger and little fries.. i had to get that nasty meds out of my system.. Ugh!

Galina's right, it's hard to believe we're already on thread #4. :) Good luck with the big office move, Galina. Wow, 2 days w/out computers, doesn't that sound downright primative these days? LOL! It didn't take long at all for all us to get totally computer/email/baby board addicted! Ann, hang in there about the shot. They do suck, but as Christina said they'll be over soon enough (though it doesn't feel like it at the time, huh?). You still don't have the new script for your prenatals? The new place really doesn't sound any more organized than the old place. Christina, feel better soon. Wow, meds w/ codeine & work isn't a good combo at all. Like being drunk without the fun part that goes with it. :)

ChristinaC - April 18

good luck with the rest of the move Galina.. Take a deep breathe and tell yourself Ann, you can do it.. you can do those shots because they will be making a baby!!! thanks Mega, just starting to feel more like myself.

I will do the shots, but I wonder if all the stress they cause is counter-productive with ttc. Mega, I agree on the organization of the RE's new office. I am calling my ob/gyn this afternoon to see who else she would recommend. How is your new job going? Galina, thanks for starting the new thread. Now I can keep up w/you guys while am out of town tomorrow (even though I can't post)!

ChristinaC - April 18

love the new one too! we'll miss you Ann!

Ann1 - April 18

Thanks, Christina. You guys are like the sisters I never had!:) BTW, I ate bad at lunch, too (BBQ plate).

Galina - April 18

Hi guys, sorry I did not write sooner, but I haven't even had time to look at the computer screen. OK, no more complaining...Ann, my fert mon showed me that I O'd on Fri the 14th, which was cd17. That is pretty much the normal cd for me to O. I am starved and have no time to eat. At least I will shed some pounds. I am already doe 3.5 lbs and feel MUCH better. Ann, aren't you going to the same RE as the previous IUI? Or did he just move offices? Christina, codeine??? Wos, that is some serious med you are on! I am surprised you have't passed out yet :)

Mega - April 18

Oh, BBQ plate, that sounds sooo good though Ann. You & Christina, in the heart of BBQ country. Work is okay. It's nice being up here, away from the scrutiny (somewhat) that's present downstairs but really I'm doing mainly the same thing here that I did down there. But the Acct. Exec. I work with is on vac. so things get slower then I guess. Lucky him. Good luck, I hope your OB gives a referral to a better, more organized RE this time. I don't think all the anxiety you feel re: the shots is counter-productive per se, though I'm sure it doesn't help matters. The way I figure everything relating to TTC is so high stress anyway shot anxeity probably doesn't add too much more in the grand scheme of things.

Ann1 - April 18

Yes, I am going to the same RE but he moved offices. I just got off the phone with my ob/gyn. She is so nice. I wish she was a RE. I really like her even though I likely wasted valuable time doing too many clomid/iuis. She gave me some recommendations and wrote me the prescription that I have been trying to get for 5 days from my RE's office.

Ann1 - April 18

Well, I called the dr my ob/gyn most highly recommends, and his first appt is May 22! I guess it is good to have that there, but I was hoping I could come in sooner. If I do another suppression, that would give me time to switch to him for my next cycle, so I guess it isn't too bad. Of course, I hope I can cancel it.:)

Ann1 - April 18

I am going crazy with the dr appts today. I made another one for Tuesday of next week. I figure I should keep my options open.

Mega - April 18

I think that's probably a good idea Ann, making appts. with more than 1 RE, in case you click more w/ 1 than the other. Always good to keep those options open. But like you said, hopefully you can cancel the May appt. :)
