HAPPYMOM - May 18

Hi Ladies! Well I got my bloodwork back and all is well. beta is 330, progesterone 82, and estadiol 612. Doc wants to do bw again next week and an us on the 30th so that is the plan for now. Mommy... i am not from Canada, i'm from the US but i still think that many iui's unmedicated is absolutely ridiculous!! Maybe I've been spoiled by my doc because she's very aggressive, but she didn't even waste time on doing 6 cycles of just clomid. I did one cycle of it then the next we added gonal-f into the mix and voila! I think your RE is wasting your precious time and your insurance coverage. Definitely look around for someone else. Good Luck!

well I dont have to pay for my IUI's because I paid him for a tubal reversal and it covers any cost of any procedure he will have to do from now until pregnancy. But I am really getting discouraged and thinking of asking my regular ob/gyn doc to give me the meds and do the monitoring for me. Just dont know what to do.

Hey ladies. Dr. called, hcg went up to 77 so I am pregnant. They are going to check it again monday just to be sure it still goes up. My progesterone was okay but she is going to start me on prometrium monday.

SONYA, well woke up w/ terrible cramps around 6a.m., grabbed a heating pad and woke up to spotting... unusual for me, but hey wi all the meds we take my system is probably trying to catch up. Anyhoot I am spotting now, and I am pretty sure by early noon she will be in full force. I called the oncall nurse and told her it would look like I'm coming in 1st thing tomorrow a.m. so yes, as you mentioned I get stuck w/ the extra Sunday $ charge..UGH! I'm almost on my way to the official IVF status :0) Sounds like you are doing well, how's Tyler and Dh? Thanks again for all your support (((HUGS))). HAPPYMOM, Yippee on the high numbers! MOMMYof3, that's great that the IUI's are covered, but don't be fooled.... Nothing is for free... You may not have to pay but I'm sure the office makes money of the insurance. Were not trying to push you, but seriously think about looking for another RE you may be happier w/ their practices and the end result! :0) JLEEE, Yahoo! Congratulations, what wonderful news!!!

chele I understand what you are saying but with my RE I dont use my insurance since my insurance dont cover RE's. So, I am really not in good understanding why he wants to wait so long. When I spoke with his nurse she said that on a normal he will only do 6 IUI natural and then go to medications. But she is sure he would want me to do atleast 4 more before going to meds. I dont have any health conditions that the meds would effect so I am just not understanding him at all. I am seriously thinking about going to my OB/GYN and seeing if they will do the IUI's and put me on meds. But with most of the research I have done is telling me that I will have to do more natural IUI's with another doctor if I change now before going on to the meds. I am just so confused. I had some major cramping last night and I am not sure if it was from the IUI on thursday or if it was ovulation. But it was bad enough that I could not walk. When my IUI was done on thursday she was having a hard time with the placement of my cervix which has never been a problem before. And I had more bleeding (not a major amount) but more than I usually have after an IUI. Then the nurse asked me when my last pap was. That scared me. I dont know what she seen to have asked me that. But I had one done last august and I am due for one soon. Do you think I should go ahead and get one done now?

Chele, glad to hear that she showed up! Hope all goes well tomorrow at the clinic..keep me posted! Hugs to you!
Mommy, I would try to meet with your RE and chat with him about the iui's?? Ask about having a medicated cycle if you think he will do it? Sorry taht you aren't feeling great..I have had that it is because the cervix was most likely tilted up and hard to get the cathater into...it gives more cramps and bleeding...hang in there..hugs to you!
JLee glad to hear that the hcg is increasing..that is great news-CONGRATULATIONS!
Back to watching my Ottawa Sens and Buffalo hockey game!

Chele, how are things going? Did you have to go to the clinic today for the shot, or will it be tomorrow? If so, how are you feeling and how did it go?
Keep me posted.
Hope that everyone is feeling well and have a good weekend...it is a long weekend in Canada..tomorrow is a holiday....
