Apalonia - April 18

Hi Chas,
I know how you feel with DH. If I don't talk about it he doesn't. I always say "You don't know how I feel!" And of course he says that he does but I feel like he says it just to placate me. He has a child from a previous marriage who lives with us while the real mother lives in a different province and has three kids from three different men (1 at 16, 1 at 24 and now 1 at 38), so how can he possibly know how I feel when he has a child that he can go watch play hockey and graduate and get confirmed and so on. While I was there for all thoses events (Becasue the child is 16) I don't feel like his real mother and I want those feelings so when DH says he understands I just want to freak!!! I blood temperature is rising just thinking about it. In addition, while I am sure it hurts them deeper that we know, my DH, at least, could live without having another child and living an adult life style. It would not kill him, while I feel like it will kill me in the end!!!

Apalonia - April 18

Hey Sonya,
Good luck with the trigger shot. I hope this is your time. I know your 2ww is coming and it will be hard. Think positive.

Sonyamac - April 18

thanks Apalonia, where are you doing IVF? I may do that if this doesn't work! I have a 8 1/2 month old, he was most likely from iui, but you never know! I am going to 39 this year-don't want to wait too long.
Sorry that it has been tough with dh-they don't get it...be strong, I am sure that you have been an important part of your step-son's life and that he thinks of you as his other Mom. ...best of luck in June!
...............I go back in on Friday am for iui-all looks good
E2 is 3,129, lining-12.8, LH-4.2, ,left-side-1 follicle @19, right-side-1 follicle @19, there are others @ 12 & 14, and smaller, but they won't make it.
So, I am hopefule this is it. Does anyone know if they tell you how much you should be bd as well? I usually make dh wait until I get home, then after work, then before bed, then again in the am and at noon the next day.if possible?
BABY DUST TO ALL.............Sonya ;)

SONYAMAC, How did the visit go today? I know what you mean about age and wanting... I'm 36 and I am still trying for #1. I must say it should give you extra hope knowing that you can indeed conceive. KL99, how exciting.... so did af stay away? Hopeing you have some good news for us. As for me, no af, it's due Friday.... Last 2 months it came extremely early so I'm hopeful this time but we will see.... hurry up and post, I'm wanting to hear!:0) CHAS, I'm praying for a miracle!!! Chin up... I know it's hard but with all of us we will do our best to help you through. APOLONIA, I am not in that situation (neither of us has kids) but I tried to put myself in your shoes and YES, I definately would feel the same as you. SONYA, things are looking great! As much as I would love to have you as an IVF partner, I hope you don't make it that far! ;0) Wow! you and dh get extra bding in I think! LOL!!! No, I don't think you can overdo it, he must be estatic (sp?) haha My RE say's prior to IUI... obstain 2 day's prior but no more then 5... because we do back-to-back IUI's the do not advise it that 1st night as the count will already be lower the 2nd day, however, the evening of the 2nd IUI is the beginning....haha LOTS OF LUCK AND LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!!!

jlee27 - April 19

Hi everyone. I'm new to this but had a question. I had my first IUI April 3 and only had one good follicle. Is that a bad sign? I've been reading about people having at least 3 but I only had one. I'm on 50mg of Clomid and had a shot to induce ovulation. My af started today. Thanks

Sonyamac - April 19

thanks guys..I am praying all goes well and the eggs meet the little boys.......
anyway, yes Chele, my RE says no bding 2-5 days before the iui, then get busy!
Good Luck kl99, Hoping4anagel--stick baby dust-let us know where things are at? This could be it ! Jas112 where are things at for you...I know you were trying natural-any symptoms??
tanner789 what are you doing this month, iui as well?
good lucky Lizzy4 on your IVF!
BABY DUST TO ALL......................

JLee27, one egg is fine.....I take 100 mg of Puregon then follistim shots and I get monitored like everyday or everyother until the follies are at that trigger shot size, for me it is usually 5 days then trigger shot.....eveyone is different. my last cycle i had one follicile as well, when i conceived in Oct 05-i had 3 good sized follicles...best of luck to you.
Mama-Keya, what are you doing this month?
jg-where are you at? How are you feeling after the lap?
Chas-how are you hon? Hugs to you...be strong, you have come so far..hugs & prayers for you!

Shanlou - April 19

Wow, I've been away a couple days and missed a lot. CHAS-----------I'm so sorry for your loss. I can empathize, I know you said you were preggers a year ago easter so this must be extra hard. Keep your chin up, we had a miscarriage in Sept 2005 and havn't been able to conceive again. 3 iui and now IVF is starting. I am a strong believer in positive thinking though. If we focus on the negative life will suck all the time. If we are postive about the good things in life, than life is good. One day we will all have children, whether we have to adopt, or go through all this work..........one way or another we will be mothers. DH really doesn't get it. They don't experience the symptoms so they are not as attached to the baby (fetus) so the loss is that much more for us. Plus all the hormones we are pumping into our body, I'm sure our moods are easily swayed. I hope you have lots of support around you and we are here for you. Even if you don't feel like posting we will be here to share. We will be here to share your next happy story as well. Keep smiling.

Shanlou - April 19

SonyaMac ----------- good luck with this IUI. I will check out the babycenter board this weekend. Hoping4anangel-----------I hope Friday brings good news. babydust to all. Apalonia-------------is this your first IVF? I have to sign concent forms in May and then looks like a three month wait? That's in Ontario how about you? Welcome Lizzy4 -------goodluck to everyone. Babydust to all and positive thoughts for everyone.

Chas - April 19

Shanlou, thank you for your kind words. Everyone else also, thank you all so much for thinking so much of me. Dh and I got a chance to talk again and he told me he hates to see me hurt and there is no possible way He could feel the way I do or even know they way I feel. Which is so true. We are geared up for another cycle if this one can ever get started and end. I am thinking of trying the clomid with trigger shot but no IUI, just trying natural. I don't know.... It's a ways a way, but I am still thinking. Dh told me something that stuck with me. He said when we are trying, we have to expect these things or at least be aware of them (miscarriages) I know that now. It's not any easier when it happens, but now I know it doesn't matter, IT CAN happen to anyone at any time and not to take anything for granted. Then again, it's hard to do that and not stay positive at the same time... go figure. ANyway... I will post later or I may just read for awhile. I wish you all the best of luck.

kl99 - April 19

Well I went in for my blood test, BFN and right after they called af started. My dh and I are so disappointed we really felt good about this cycle. I think we are going to take a break next month as we are going on vacaction the 1st part of May. I may still take clomid and try natural, but I am still undecided. May be best just to take a break completely. I would like to try to do injectibles next, but I don't think my dh will agree with the cost. They are telling me it is up to $3000 a cycle, and my insurance doesn't cover anything. Well tonight is a sad night, I am sorry to say. Best of the luck to everyone else.

jg - April 19

Oh dear looks like we're all disappointed again. CHAS so so so sorry - what a traumatic experience to go through, and so emotional. And KL99 sorry to you too. UGH what a sucky month we've all had. I had my laparoscopy on Tuesday - went well. I go to my specialist/surgeon tomorrow for follow-up but from what I can gather, tubes were clear, ovaries looking good and all endo was lasered and cut out. I'm feeling very sore and LOTS of shoulder tip pain, but am hopeful that I am now in good shape. I will let you know tomorrow for sure when I see my surgeon. Good luck again everyone for your cycles.

jg - April 19

I've just posted, but will copy it over to a new thread - IUI in April - Part 2. SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!!

chele - April 20

Happy Friday everyone!!!!
Welcome JLee! Typically we all wish for more then one to increase the chances but just remember all you need is 1! Yes, I am wondering about JAS also.... As for Tanner, I've spoken to her and she had to take the cycle off due to a cyst, but she's trying to relax during this time... she's getting ready for a vacation too! She has not been really posting in order to relax and not think about it. SONYA, as I posted on the other thread keep up posted!!! SHANLOU, out of curiousity what is the 3 month wait for? CHAS, I envy your courage and positive thinking... it will happen for you soon! KL99, sorry.... I know that terrible feeling when you were so sure of a cycle.... hang in there :0) Here's hoping for Lots of Baby Dust for all of us!!! and hoping that my af stay's far away! :0)
