Hi Lee that is cool your dh got to inseminate you. Mine wouldnt even go in the room with me. He hates anything to do with docs meds etc. Anyways i would baby dance whenever you are able. Egg is good for 24 hours after the ovulation so go for it. I was told it cant hurt and could only help the process along. I have been cramping since my ovulation day (i'm not 7 days past my 2nd day of iui which i think is my ovulation day). How many follicles do you have. i have no symptoms other than my temps are good. today at 98.2 up from 98 yesterday . baby dust keep me posted. Paula, Toni, Tonya what are you guys feeling?

Hi Isa! BB's were sore a bit yesterday...not today, though. I'm very tired, but not sure if it is not from all the stress in the past 2 weeks. We live near Houston and had to evacuate from Rita. We didn't sustain any damage and we are so thankful, but we are still getting our house back in order. So we'll see how it works out on Friday. Are ya'll still gonna be gone this weekend? When can you do a HPT? I don't think I can because I had to do 1/2 Ovidrel trigger on Friday to increase prog. levels. So, I think I couldn't test before Friday anyway. I'm glad your temps are staying up - always a good sign...Lee, glad your IUI went well...Babydust to all......

Thanks, Tonya.
Isa, I had two big follicles ~23mm and one 16mm when she did a quick u/s just before the iui. DH had 41,000 cleaned for me. We are really hopeful. I am scared to death that the trigger did not work. I guess I really won't ever know. But we will BD tonight that will be 72 hours since the last natural and 36 since the IUI. I will keep checking and writing to you.

Paula
When I had ivf and carried to term, I did not have any implantation bleeding. I have also had to natural pregnancies (M/C at 10 & 11 weeks) and had none for those either. Keep the faith.

Lee - October 3

Isa-I meant a total of three follicles. They didn't even count the 16mm for me though. She said they looked like they were "collapsing" (in a good way) and would come out at any time, so I am really quite hopeful.

Hi
If you have an HCG trigger, does your temperature tell you anything about ovulating? Will it remain up until your period regardless, or does it go down after you ovulate? THANKS

Tonya - October 4

Hi Lee, I was afraid my trigger didn't work, either, because when I went in for my IUI, the nurse said some number (not sure, but it shows you're ovulating) was 1.5. They like to see it at 2.5. She said normally they would do a follow-up IUI the next morning, but we live in Houston and were under mandatory evacuations from Hurricane Rita, so the office was closing. Anyway, when I saw the Dr. the next week on Thursday, she said that 1.5 is good and showed that I would have been ovulating the next day after the IUI. So, I did the Pregnyl trigger on Tuesday night at 7 and the Dr. said I would have been ovulating on Thursday. If ya'll just keep BD'ing for the next couple of days, I think you should be fine...Babydust

whoa Tonya, prayers are with all you guys dealing with Rita, Katrina and whoever else comes by. today I've been very tired but i havent been sleeping all that well. nipples started to be a bit sore which is unusual for me but i dont want to get hopes up too high. We plan to go away this weekend so i will test while i am away (if i can wait that long) as long as temps stay high. I go to see doc to review my case tomorrow incase af comes while I'm away and I am prepared with my meds. Gotta hit the hay i'm exhausted.. oh Patty i did the hch trigger on a Sat afternoon at 2 and doc said give it 36 hours to probably ovulation if that helps at all. I couldnt tell when it happened so i cant help you that way. Lee sounds like good numbers and good size. Our cleaned numbers arent so good so i am a little reluctant to get too excited. I think he was down to 12% motility and 5 mill total after cleaning. We dont know whats happening to him since all his numbers keep dropping each time he gives a sample. I will get back dh's ultrasound and doppler info tomorrow and hope its ok. baby glue to all of you!!

well 8 dpo, my temp dropped .4F to 97.8 and i'm still cramping. I hope it is implantation dip but I dont think it is. I think I might be in for a regular af month. On the bright side I slept much better last night than the last few nights. Anyone else with news?

Lee - October 4

Isa
You are taking progesterone? That should keep you temperature up regardless, yes? I was given the impression you shouldn't use temperature after ovulation for any news, good or bad, because it is the natural (and I imagine also the suppositories) progesterone that causes your temp to go up in the first place. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and will be checking every day to find out. Hang in there.

Tonya
I have definately ovulated at this point. We did BD on the night of the trigger and then iui 40 hours later and then BD 72 hours after the first BD, so I think you are right, if it is meant to be it will be. I will not know until Sunday the 16th. Please stay in touch.

isa - October 4

Lee, I think you are right the progesterone supps will keep my temp up but they are following the same pattern as the last 2 months only about 2 degrees higher than usual except the bigger dip today. I have to test - it keeps me busy haha. was at doc today and he said if i am not pg this month to drop from 100mg clomid days 2-6 to 50mg days 2-5 since my lining was not thick enough this month to coincide with the huge follicles (he had me on estrogen and corrected the problem really quickly). He also said to stay on the same shots (from day7 til i"m told I'm ready to trigger it) even though my tummy went all red and itchy. He said i could try a different type of shot but same thing would probably happen to me and he said i'll be ok. I have several months worth of shots so i'd rather stay on what i have at $13.50/vile as opposed to the newer one he suggests at $60/vile and I need 3 per day. I HOPE I DONT NEED THEM THOU!! Anyone feeling anything yet?

Tonya - October 4

Hi everyone...Isa, I know what you mean about the meds being expensive. Last month we spent over $400 on meds. This month we are doing Clomid and a few injectibles (if we need to) I'm hoping we don't need them. About the Clomid and thinning of the lining prob., on my calendar it says if lining is less than 8mm, begin taking a baby aspirin a day. I wonder if you could call and ask a nurse about that. I have to take a baby aspirin/day because of some kind of placental clotting problem they found I have. Next month I will do 100mg Clomid days 2-6 and then Ovidrel mini shots...I didn't respond well to the Repronex I was on this past month, only 1 follicle that was 23mm and 3 that were less than 10, so my RE is hoping that next month we will have more follicles...But I'm still waiting on Friday, not feeling anything much, but ones gotta hope.......

isa - October 4

Hey Tonya, thanks for the baby asprin idea but my lining worked itself out between day 10 and day 11 or day 12's ultrasounds with taking 2mg estradial estrogen 2x/day. My estrogin shot right up they were very pleased. I guess i had one follicle way bigger than the rest and the lining was too thin for it but the smaller ones it was in line with so they disregarded the big one and delt as if we were only dealing with the others and it worked itself out. I had 29mm, 24mm, and 2 at 20mm before I triggered. I'm wishing I could test today i'm so anxious but i know it will be neg since today is only day 8. Feeling cranky right now but I'm not sure if its the humidity today or pre af or ?

Tonya - October 4

Wow, Isa! You had some great follicles....That's alot more than I had. What meds were you on this past month?
