About 10 years ago, after a miscarriage my doctor informed me that i had a heart shaped uterus(bicornate) and also told me i had a blood condition which consist of me having low platelet count called Thrombocytopenia-also called ITP. i want to know if anyone else has been able to conceive with this blood condition and with the bicornate uterus? I have been trying for the past month to conceive and no luck yet, i had just been worried that the reason is because of my condition.

I had a friend with ITP (diagnosed in her late 20's) but dont know if she had the bicornate uterous but she has a 7 yr old boy and a 5 year old girl both when she was in her 30's. Both c sections and both pretty easy pregnancies. I know at one time she was on prednisone and she was in remission but thats about all I can remember. She also had a slow thyroid.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus yesterday. I am so depressed. The weird thing is that i had a cervical ultrasound about 8 months ago and they said everything was normal - normal uterus two above average ovary volumes. Yesterday i had a HSG test (the flourescent dye thing they inject into your uterus to check the fallopian tubes) and they said to me i have a bicornuate uterus and one fallopian tube is blocked. I was just reading online and i read about a unicornuate uterus where you don't have a fallopian tube but you have both ovaries. I suspect i have this (which is far worse then a bicornuate). Can someone please tell me of their experience for some reassurance. Thanks a lot!!!
