Thanks Stepmommel, Metformin is drug to help our body use insulin better as it is common that woman who have PCOS do not use insulin well. Regulating that can sometimes induce ovulation. Clomid is a drug that simply induces ovulation. I am so frustrated with charting that I am giving up on it. And I am not going to waste my money on OPKs anymore because every time I take one it is positive! So it's a burden off but I wish I knew when I could expect something... I guess dh and I better be sure to bd at least every other until I get AF or BFP!

Welcome Tammy! Stepmommel i think the injectibles were like 2700 i think. Otilia are you taking the OPK's that can help track when you ovulate. I'm on cd 14 and still no ovulation yet!

I am not sure what kind of OPKs they are. I thought that there was only one kind. OMG, there is different ones? Oh well, I give up on them anyway:) I read somewhere that birthday girls have power when trying to conceive. When my friend was TTC I rubbed her belly and said that I was warming it up. Anyway, my daughter had her 4th b-day yesterday and she rubbed my belly so hopefully that theory has some truth:) Hope everyone is having a happy Thursday!

Otilia Good luck!!!!

Thanks Melissa! I forgot to mention in my previous post that the girlfriend of mine that I rubbed her belly on my b-day got preggo (they think that night)!

Question for you ladies. When do you start testing with your long irregular cycles? I am on CD 17 and I hate wasting the tests. I was thinking about CD 40?

stepmommel - June 16

Otilia, I've only ever used a few sticks myself because if I'm not even Oing it seems like I might as well be peeing on money and flushing it down the toilet, so I know how you feel. However, seeing is how I've had no progress in all of this since November, I finally decided to get over it and I bought an O Predictor Kit and am going to force myself to get over it. in the long run, I figure it could be saving me money if it means avoiding some of the medical expenses that insurance won't cover. I wish I had an answer for you. the only thing I could say is that if you chart regularly and can determine an aproximate time you usually O, that would be helpful, but since you're not doing it regularly I really can't say. Sorry. Melissa, I'm assuming you meant $2700???? Holly crap! What about Clomid? Any idea what that tends to run?

Hey guys, well cd 15 and still no positive OPK, we did it last night though with the preseed!! This monring I had the clear stretchy stuff so think i'm getting closer!!! Yep 2700 super expensive(includes though all the u/s and bloodwork, medfs, etc..) I think clomid is cheaper but with the monitoring it adds up too depending on if your insurance covers stuff? Those prices are w/out no insurance since mine doesn't cover fertilty stuff - sucks!! Otilia hmm unsure when you should test?? It would be cheaper to wait it out and hopefully you will have a ncie surprise!!

Speaking of EWCM.. I think I'll pass out from pure excitement if i ever see such a thing come from my own body! I live or the day! :)

stepmommel - June 16

Melissa, how did you decide to use the preseed? was it doctor recommended or your own decision? And is this the first time using it? Sorry, I don't recall if you've mentioned it before.

Otilia98 - June 16

Well maybe I will wait until I go in for my appointment on July 10th. I agree, if I ever had EWCM I would be SO excited! I have tried the preseed as well. I hope that it helps! But it is nice to have a lubrication that is safe to use when you are BDing so much.

cmelissa - June 16

Hey Ladies, you don't' get the EWCM?? Whats that stand for exactly?? Stepmommel, basically I have heard many people talk about the preseed on these posts and so wanted to try it out, I sometimes am dry and thats not fun when you are bding and I heard this is safe for sperm. Otilia so July 10th you have a blood work test??

Otilia98 - June 16

EWCM stands for egg white cervical mucus. On July 10th I get a follow up fertility check up and a girly exam. Yuck:(
But it's all getting me closer to the goal, I hope!

cmelissa - June 16

Otilia what cd are you on now - can't remember?? So you don't ever get the EWCM??

stepmommel - June 16

I've never had it (EWCM)! Or if I did, it was so many years ago that I don't even recall. Must've been sometime before starting the pill, and i went on them towards the end of high school, so it's been AGES! Do you recall ever having it Otilia?

lalilove - June 17

Hello ladies...hoping to form part of your group. In the past I've never had an irregular cycle...I've always been a 31-33 day gal but last month (May) I got AF on May 3rd then again on May 21st!!!! That was so odd! I don't know if it had something to do with the medication that I'm taking to help me ovulate (femara)...who knows. Anyway...I'm also in the same boat..my insurance doesn't cover squat! urgghhh
