I am really embarrassed . . .

My husband and I have been married for 5 years. We decided early on (after 3 years) that we would not use contraceptives anymore (Condoms and the Pill) and let nature take it's course. Well that was 2 years ago, and still no baby. I am starting to wonder if maybe there is something wrong, and I can't help but think that maybe it's with me. I haven't discussed it with my husband because I am really embarrassed, and I believe that maybe he is starting to feel the same way about himmself. I know I should go to the doctor and explain my situation, and find out what I can do to remedy the situation, but truely I feel so embarrassed about it. Can anybody offer me some advice?

Do not feel embarassed. Your doctor is there to help. Have you tried ovulation predictor tests? You don't necessarily have to buy the big expensive things, you can buy strips over the internet for super cheap and they work in the same way (babyhopes.com or at-home-pregnancy-tests.com). That's what I used and it worked. Anyway, talk to your doctor. I've heard that if you try for a year and don't get pregnant, that is the point where you should talk to your doc. That's just what I've heard. Good luck.

My husband and I also tried for 2 yrs. We eventually had to consult a fertility specialist. I new there was a problem with me before we went, but my husband was very supportive. We got treatment and after the first month, we got pregnant! The longer you wait, the more time you could be missing out on. Hope this helped and good luck!I'm sure he will be supportive if it's something he wants too. Just talk to him. Once you get married, there is nothing to be embarrased about...you are married for better or for worse.
