I had genital warts 4 1/2 years. I was treated for the symptoms for 1 month, then they went away. I have not had any symptoms for 4 1/2 years. My husband and i plan on starting a familing in a few months. Can i give the virus to my child if i haven't had any symptoms after that first time and if i don't get them during pregnancy?

hi pgbell. I recently found out I have the same thing. MY OB has assured me that I will not pass it along to our child (when we get pregnant, in the 2ww). what happens is if you have an outbreak right before you deliver they will take perform a c-section. However, this is a conversation you should have at length with your OB. Mine made me feel absolutely comfortable...
