How long before normal cycle begins after continuous bcp?

7 months ago I had a lap and was dx with endo. For the past 6 months I have been treated with continuous bcp (I didn't take the placebos....just started new packs). This past Saturday was my last pill of my treatment. I have been having a VERY light period & spotting for over 2 weeks. Does anyone know how long it will take for my cycles to regulate again? DH & I are so anxious to start ttc again! If anyone has any stories to share I'd love to hear them...

Its depends... for me is was 6 months; most is usually regulates within 3 months. I would say if in 3 months you do not regulate, contact your OBGYN. I don't understand why you went on BCP if you were TTC?

Thanks for your response. My period actually started right after I posted, so hopefully I will ovulate this month as well. I was dx with stage IV endo & an elevated CA-125. The doctors put me on continuous bcp to suppress the endo since they weren't able to completely get it all during the lap. Going on the pill is another alternative to the Lupron shots. It was the last thing I wanted to do, but I was told that if I didn't go on them for 6 months I would have a high risk of a tubal pregnancy. From what I've read it's a pretty common treatment for people diagnosed with endo.
