How does clomid work anyone?

Hi there, i was just wondering if any of you could tell me how clomid works and when you take it in ur cycle? Also how much on average (mg) you get told to take? I just want an idea before i go to the doctors about it!TTC 11months- no ovulation at all. Thanks :)

In a nutshell, clomid triggers your body into producing more lutenizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). LH and FSH are the two hormones that cause follicular production. Clomid is taken at the beginning of the cycle and typically started btwn days 3 and 5 and you may take from 5 to 10 days. The dosage level depends upon the individual.
