How do i know i'm fertil after taking depo?

i have been off the shot for 8 mons. and i haven't gotten my period and me and my fiancee are trying to conceive. why haven't i gotten a period since i been off the shot for 8 mons.??

My doctor said it took take up to 2 yrs for your cycle to get back to normal. Thats why i decided to go on the pills bc it only takes a yr instead of two. Good luck & best wishes to you and your husband. Hopefully this month is your month. Baby dust to all.

It took me 2 1/2 years..just got BFP this week.I was on Depo for 4 years. You should probably get your hormones checked. Good Luck!!! *****Baby Dust to All*****

I was on depo for 3 years. Have been off for 4 years and ttc for 17 months, unsuccessfully. My doctor told me it could take up to 3 years after being on depo to conceive, but she said that once you start having normal cyles again, you should be able to conceive. After my experience, I don't think that's true. I resent ever getting on that evil depo! ;) I hope u have more luck off of depo than I have!

I took only 1 shot of depo in January and realized that it wasnt for me. My husband and I are trying to conceive now but I havent had a period since April! Doctors say "oh well" What do you think?
