high FSH and pregnancy.

I did a CCCT challenge and got a bad FSH (higher than 20). The same cycle I did a IUI and I am waiting for the results on June 13. (going insane waiting).
Does anybody know if a high FSH means no chance to ever getting pregnant? I've been having cramps for one week now (since the IUI) and hoping this is a good sign.
Any info?

Mine was 15 when I went to the Fertility Specialist. It should be 12 or lower I think. Because of my age the higher number indicates less mature eggs. I am on Clomid for the second month, but nothing has happened for me yet.

FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) levels are used to access the efforts of an ovary to produce a follicle. The higher the number, the more effort put forth by the ovary to produce a follice. A level of 10 or less is considered "good" for becoming pregnant. 10-25 is considered borderline for success. High 20's and 30's is a minimal chance of pregnancy. An FSH level near or above 40 is an indicator of menopause. Of course keep in mind that FSH levels can vary from cycle to cycle, and also from lab to lab. Its important for your doctor to know the parameters established by their lab and the calibration of their machine. An FSH result of 25 could be the equivalent of a 15 from another lab.

Hi ladies,
It just seems like one thing after another........first of all I have high prolactin......just when I think everything is on the right track then I get a call from my doctor saying that I have high levels of FSH and the growth hormone. I am getting so frustrated and wonder if everything is ever going to be ok!?!? Anyone else in the same boat?? It's no fun for sure!

I HAD A FSH DONE ON 2ND DAY OF CYCLE AND HAD A 3.2 FSH WHICH THEY SAID WAS GREAT. IF YOU DID THIS BLOOD TEST DURING 1-3 DAYS OF CYCLE THEN 20 IS BAD. I THINK THAT MEANS YOUR MORE PREMENAPAUSAL AND EGG QUALITY WOULD BE REALLY BAD.
