Is normal to have really heavy periods after giving birth. I had a son who died in Jan. 2005. My last 2 periods have been painful and long. this is our 2nd mo. ttc.

I m/c in January of this year - I was 16 weeks along and it took FOREVER for things to return to normal. After 7 weeks of bleeding, I went to see my OB and he put me on the pill to 'kick start' my system. It has helped - I had my first real period two weeks ago. However, I'm on cd18 right now and I have some spotting - not sure what is going on.
Sometimes it sucks being a woman!
