HCG Shot, anyone need this with Clomid???

Hi, my Dr has just recently told me that I need an hcg shot along with using clomid in order to make me O. Apparently i dont produce enough progesterone to make my follicles burst. Has anyone else had this done and could you tell me how it works and if its only one shot or do you have to give yourself a few of them? thanks!

Hi Krista, I was taking clomid for 2 cycles and both cycles I was told to use the hcg shot (I'm not sure why because I have always ovulated on my own.HCG shot is just a once a month shot. I was monitored daily right before ovulation and they told me when to do it. I do it in my stomach.
