hi tanner - i am starting gonal-f injections next cycle if AF shows again this weekend. i was on clomid thru this month - and it didn't react well with me - felt like i was on speed or something - anyhow - someone told me about a story like this just this morning when we were talking about her NEW TWINS - and she said that the gonal didn't get her enough mature follies so they put her on repronex (sp?) and 1st month on it - BAM twins - healthy delivery at 37w6d. i don't know much about injectibles myself as i am just readying to start - so this may or may not help. good luck. |

Hi ladies. I started Gonal-F this month also. I dont exactly how many follies I had on both sides but the side we were focusing on produced 2 good follies, an 18 and a 14. Are you ladies doing timed relations? I would love to hear any success stories where women have concieved from injectables and timed relations rather than IUI and IVF |

hi ladies when ur on the injectables and they are monitroing your follie growth how often are u in there for u/s, im on cd12 and going for bw us every two days, ihavent been since friday (which they measured at 11 and 11.5) and now feel over the weekend i may be missing something. im hoping by tommorrow they are at least at 15-18mm. we havent started having sex yet, does ur dr tell you to start having sex before you even give yourself the ovidrel shot? this is my thrid month and its still all confusing to me. i cant wait to get a new dr and knwo whats goingon. julie i am defintely gonna looki into that repronex. thanks |

hi - it's just about monday - and no AF yet - i may ring the doc's office today just to see what she says. i'd just feel silly if i call and go in and end up not pg again - but this time i had to go to the doc to prove it -- so i am almost rather thinking AF should show by tomorrow - maybe i'll set up a doc visit for tues?? - anyone know if the clomid can make your cycle longer than the norm (mine is 27 or 28 every month- that is the only variable.) and today is 28. but if clomid makes it longer than i guess i'd jsut wait??? |

Hey ladies. I hope you don’t mind that I am posting on your thread. I wanted to let you know that this past cycle was my first cycle on Gonal-F and trigger combination. I started taking Gonal-F on cd3. I went 150 for the first three days and then down to 75 up to the day of my trigger. I actually started ovulating on my own on cd12 so I did the trigger that day and IUI the following day. I have been advised as of yesterday that my beta is 252 and I am pregnant!! Too exciting. I was in the office every 2 to 3 days for u/s and blood work. Also, my follicles weren’t that big………..I had a 17, 14 , 12 on left side and a 16 on the right. Ladies, don’t be discouraged…..EVER!!! I was freaking out because I ovulated early and because my follicles weren’t over an 18. JULIE-you asked if clomid caused your cycle to go later? It did with me. The longer I was on clomid the longer my cycle became. Sometimes I didn’t ovulate until cd18. I wish you all the best and will keep you in my prayers!! BABY DUST TO ALL!!! |

Hi all...just wanted to let you know this was my first month with Gonal-F and Ganerelix and time intercourse. Today we got our 1st BFP!!! It is early though as AF is not due til tomorrow so for now I have been instructed to take it easy, continue taking the prometrium and do more blood work next Monday. I'm with montie75...we can never give up hope! We must keep praying. Baby dust to all! |

One follicle usually becomes dominant with Gonal F. Happened with me. Increasing you dosage could cause bigger problems. Multiple mature follicles...multiple embryos potentially...also you don't to create the conditions for OHSS. I became pregnant on Gonal F, and Robitussin to increase cervical mucus. First month I tried it, I got pregnant. I also have a 33 day cycle and usually had ovulation occur on day 18. That particular month my ovulation came early-day 10. The follicle can start to grow very quickly so be careful to keep checking to be sure you're LH is not surging. When this happens you need to inject yourself with hcg to release the egg or the egg can grow too mature in the follicle and bascially go bad. You can get pregnant with a 14-16mm follicle but ideally it will be between 18 and 25 mm. Mine actually was about 26mm. Your estradoil has to be above 255 but it can be higher for pregnancy. Mine was somewhere around 500 when I got pregnant. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow. Was seeing a fertility specialist to get pregnant and asked lots of questions during that time so just passing the info on. today was cd 14 for me, this month i was on gonal f starting since cd3 at 75mg. i went in today and i had one follicle matured at 18mm. when the nurse called me to instruct me to take the ovidrel tonight she was hesittant to sound positive about this cycle. she xplained to me that my estradiol level had dropped from 467 to 430, i asked what did that mean and she said typically it usually indicates a women is going to ovulate soon, but that in my case my u/s didt show i had cul de sac fluid(which i have no clue what that is) and that women usually have that around ovulation. i asked if all women had to have this to ovualte and she said no. im not quite sure how to take the news. it didnt sound promising but yet she still encouraged me to have sex and do an iui. i opted against the iui only bc i had one follcile and my hubbies sperm is very strong, and that she didnt sound hopeful for this month. last month i had problems with my estradiol level dropping and then rising and not having cul de sac fluid either, but i did develop mature follicles and was able to take the ovidrel, but when they tested my progetserone it showed i didnt ovualte. im so confused and she said to me i know you d like answers as to why these things are happening but sometimes we cant give them. im hoping someone out there has had this or knows how important it is to have this fluid to ovulate. hope someones out there!!!! |

hi girls- tanner - sorry i don't know about that either. i hope your RE can tell you all you need to know. countrymom - thanks for the info - and snoop how are you feeling? how many tests did you take? does it seem real yet? -- went to the RE today - she took a bunch more blood - and did the follie count - 8 on LT and 5 on RT - *but* there is a sizeable cyst on the RT that she says is likely from the clomid this month. so we are going to coast this month - and do the injectibles nect cycle. . . will have saline sono on monday and starting acupuncture on friday - i am nervous about that. as of this moment - my RE said she will be giving me menopur - a purified form of repronex - and the synarel nose spray approx 1 month from now. ~ that seems so far away. so coast i will - and i'll learn all i can about injectibles from you guys and stuff over the coming 4 weeks. oh well. good night |
