Okiejpb...thanks...I am going to check it out as a back up. My first time with follistim worked but ended in ectopic. Now that I am down a tube, I want to check into a back-up plan just incase. Edy...good luck to you. None of us may fall into that "normal" category but then again...what is normal??? I just never heard of such a thing. Why are they trying to avoid an IUI? I hope the rest of our friends here are doing okay. |

hi girls..sorry i've been away for a couple of days. our house is under construction so we've been staying at a hotel. i'll check in periodically but the next two weeks will be hectic. anyways, good to hear that all is well with everyone. Mari, good luck to you sweetie. i hope this one will be the one. why are you on Menopur? i'm already excited to start ivf. i just went in today for the hysteroscopy. it wasn't too bad, just some cramping while they inject the saline solution. good news, no fibroids, polyps, scar tissue, ect.. all looks good and the mock embryo transfer went well. i'm so relieved. i'll go in for a consult Dec. 21 and start supression meds soon after. Okiejpb, i'm from CA and my insurance doesn't even cover any of the meds or the fertility treatments. your so lucky because the meds are sooooo expensive. well, i'm signing up for 3 cycles of IVF so i won't have the added stress of worrying if the cycle will work or not. everything, including meds will be paid by me. Lynn, they do offer financing, it's something you might want to look into. i've read some places offer as little as 1% if you have excellent credit. with your one tube, it might be something worth looking into. Edy, Debbie- happy happy baby thoughts for you two!! how are the rest of you girls doing? |

Helen-Where do you live in CA? We just moved from OC last summer. Glad the hysteroscopy went well and is over and done. I spotted and cramped for a few days afterwards, but other than that it was all fine. Carrie-I was going to UTSW until just this last cycle. I think the RE I'm seeing used to be at Baylor in Las Colinas, but moved across the street into his office (I think he was at Baylor). |

Hi girls - Helen- they just thought i needed a change in meds. to much estrogen is affecting the endometriosis. that is also why if i do need ivf i will need to be supressed for at least three months to clear up the endo again if any, they will do a laparoscopy next month if this cycle doesn't work (took lupron almost two years ago for six months), glad to hear your doing well. Lynn- thanks for your prayers u are in mine as well all of u are. good luck to everyone in a cycle this month. I had my u/s today i have 4 follies 14mm, 13mm, and 2 12mm. i go back on sat. and probably hcg that same day. Baby dust to all!!! |

Hi girls, sorry it took so long to answer, but my computer broke and I just got it back from the company. Here is my update: did my 1st IUI on Nov 1, WOW it was and still painfull, I could hardly walk (is it normal?) My dh watched discovery health channel the other day and it was a RE doctor who would use his own (donor) sperm. Of course it was a big law suite and when they did DNA about half of his patents had the same DNA as him!!! So when I went to do IUI the next day my dh told the nurse that he want to see all the procedure, from washing the sperm to injecting. He was sooo afraid that they would mix it with someone else's sperm... (had a lot of fun that day). So here i am now on my LOOONG 2WW.I see that everybody is doing well. Good luck girls!!! It has to be our month!!! |

Helen-I love it here. I grew up in OK and moved to CA for 5 years when DH got a job out there; it was nice, but I was ready to move closer to home especially after birth of DD. How are you liking it? |

Anna - welcome back, we were missing u very much. My iui pain is usually from the over stimulation of the ovaries (bad cramps). Helen - yes i had a lapo. done 2 years ago, i wrote a post nov. 1 it will explain more. Have fun in Vegas wish it were me :-). Lynn - i'm glad u are doing well, time is going by so fast, pretty soon u will begin your new cycle. did they tell u what injectibles u will be on. Good luck girls! |

hey girls...wow, vegas...how mice, have fun. the best we are doing is going to Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving. I told hubby it would be a nice time to get away before we attempt another cycle or whatever happens after an ectopic. I have no clue what drugs I will be on. I just assumed it would be follistim seeing it worked first time last time but I am a little scared. Anna...glad you are doing well. Is Okiejpb and Helen our only IVF's? I thought Beth said she was doing IVF. I wish everyone luck in your cycle of beginning IVF cycles. Have a wonderful weekend...... |

Hi ladies..glad to hear most of you are doing well. Debbie, hang in there..I know how you feel. When my AF started a couple of weeks ago I was upset but I re-grouped and feel alot more postivie again. Just hang in there and don't put to much pressure on yourself..things always have a way of working out. Well, DH and I went in yesterday for my sono. I had two follies on the left side about 20 and the other 17, and one on my right that was sitting at 15. Dr. decided to give me one more day of follistim, then trigger on Sunday, and IUI on Tuesday.. The nurse told me before I left that dr. might trigger me tonight or give me one more night to get that other follie up. Hopefully, that 15 will grow a bit and I can go into the IUI with three good eggs. Anyway, I go back on Tuesday for the IUI so I'll keep you ladies posted. |
