first time on clomiphene

I have had two hormone blood test and both my dr said were really low. I am feeling a little discouraged right now. I had a sonogram and he told me he saw a difference in my ovaries, something about follicles and cysts. This was before my low estrogen and other tests. I know I'm being silly thinking clomiphene would work so fast, but I tried to be so positive. My doctor asked if my period came yet, but I told him no. I guess were headed to cycle two. Should I still test? I feel like such a failure.

Hey girl-The first round for most women-in my eyes is a trial period. I know many women do get pregnant on the 1st round, but many others do not. I was one of them. You Dr. may put you on the lowest dose possible to see if your body reacts to it. I first started on 50mg and was unsuccessful. Then the next month we started on 100mg and that was the magic number. I got pregnant the next 3 times on 100mg and 1500mg of Metformin (2 ended in m/c) but I am now 24 1/2 weeks with my miracle baby that I prayed and prayed for. It sucks that some women can get pregnant just by clicking their heels...but for girls like us it takes medicine, money, heartache, strenght and courage. As hard as it may seem you really need to stay positive. You just started this journey, and when you get pregnant with your little angel, and hold him/her in 9 months you will wonder why did I get so upset? :) So again, don't give up hope. God will bless you with your baby soon. Baby Dust!!!!

chykia ~ do you know if you ovulated? i don't know if I would test in your situation. when was your period due? are you typically regular or have you always had problems?

I'm usually irregular, but my dr said to expect it around the same time as last month. He says the clomiphene fine tunes your body. I'm not cramping or anything, but my nipples are sore.

To optomistic101: Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I actually cried when I read your response. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy, but I can definitely try. Congrats on your blessing as well.
