Hi ladies, this is my second time triing IUI. I was DN with PCOS six yrs ago and concieved naturally in 2005 now have a beautiful little girl. My husband and I have been triing to conceive naturally since she was born knowing that I have difficulty concieving. When she was 3m old we were in a car accident where I developed FMS and have had to take analgisic meds for over 3yrs. I am worried if we are successful in conceiving through IUI that I will have to take meds through my pg and what effect it might have on baby. Does anyone have FMS or similar? I take t3 and sometimes if pain is really bad oxicodion. Sometimes I only take extra strength Tyln. if pain is minimal.

dee-dee and janet86 - hey girls I am sorry that I haven't responded I have just not really been on. I have sad, down and depress. I really don't know where to begin. I went to the dr on Monday and he was real nice. He had looked over all my information and he told me that my FSH was 8.4 and for a lady my age (40) it should be 8 and below I thought as long as I was under 10 I was good. My E2 was 53 and I guess that is good cause he didn't say anything too much about this or maybe I don't remember so it must not have been negative. He also said my left tube is blocked which I knew this because I had the HSG done back in November and the I went to the GYN back in February. Last but not least with my age he would recommend that I have a IVF well as you all know that is out for me because I can't afford it and I am not going to pretend that I can or that I can get the money I don't have $17,000 just laying around. After crying for 2 days I called the financial consultant back and told her I will not be doing the IVF and that I would like to have try and do a IUI but first I would have to have a laparoscopy with the hysteroscopy and I have to pay for anesthesia this is going to cost me $1,175 and this is my co pay and she said she will contact my insurance to get the referal submitted. I then went on to asked her if I could just mail in payments towards my procedure and she yes she would start me a trackign sheet so once I get this I can have the surgery then I will be able to find out what is really going on in the inside. I will keep you posted on what my plans are after that I am hoping to have the money by April 3. I have to have the surgery done between cd 6-12. If you need any thing else answered just let me know. dee-dee thanks you for the kind words. You girls take care and I will talk to you soon. Krissy68

Sorry I'm just now posting but it's been a mad house around here. I'm putting in applications for jobs, we have to go out of town on the 11th (which I should be sleeping right now)b/c of some drama in dh's family, and trying to get back on my doctor's case.

The RE on Monday said that he will take me off the Provera on the 23rd IF he can get the detailed report from the cardio doc to check over and make sure that the RE doesn't want to do a heart ultrasound (he thought the cardio would do it but he didn't and at this point there's not much he is doing which is stressing me even more). But the great news is that he said that we will try 3 to 4 IUI's before moving to the IVF and that he wants to put on Letrozole(femara) instead of the clomid, he's going to monitor me with ultrasound, and we are going to do the Trigger shot. I AM SO HAPPY... This has got to work I am so ready. lol

Welcome newbie's and lots of baby dust and sticky dust to you all.

Hey girls I just wanted to let you know the insurance will pay for my surgery I will post more later. Krissy68

dee-dee - March 18

Hey everyone and thank you so much for the support. KRISSY- Congrats on the good news and sorry about you baby this weekend. I am finally back from out of town... well got back Sunday night... had interview for job Monday morning and PT for dh.... so now my mind is finally back in town. I am still playing phone tag with the cardios office and my RE's office is taking care of the high-risk office's report. I am just stressed out. I'm just going to call my RE's office and leave a message with the nurse to just ask the RE if he can just get someone to do the u/s of my heart already so that we don't have to keep being held up by stupid cardio. They are just not taking my calls anymore at the cardios office i mean really is that not just frustarting. Sorry for the rant ladies i'm just completely off and ready to get this show on the road. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or anything that I should be asking my RE about the IUI? Baby dust, sticky dust, and BFP's to everyone

Krissy68 - March 19

Hey girsl bad news I guess I misunderstood the RE my insurance isn't covering my surgery when she told me I was APPROVED she was talking about the authorization not paying for it. I feel so let down what is the point in having insurance. Back to square 1 trying to come up with $1,175.00 I will keep you all updated on that so maybe I can have the surgery done by my birthday. Also now I am having severe pain in my right side I am thinking it is a cyst so I have an appointment with my family doctor tomorrow. I willlet you know what happens and I am also going to tell them I want a new gyn. Good Luck to everyone. Oh and one more thing today I am on cd 27/13dpo and my temp are still way above the cover line. I am not getting my hopes up but I will test if AF don't show by Sunday. Krissy68

Well ladies I just decided to come on and let you ladies know how our apt with the RE went this am. All is well with the lil one. Yes ladies it is just 1, my mom was upset hoping and praying for twins. Hubby and I are just excited for that lil one. The heartbeat is great and the RE said that all looks great. I am so happy for the good news. I am such a person who worries all the time about nothing at all. We did get some pics of our lil one. We got to show our 4 year old and he was like what is that mommy. I was like your lil brother or sister. He said a baby brother, I said yes or sister. He said no only a brother mommy. So cute :-) Well ladies I go to see our OB on the 30th. I am wondering if he will put me as high risk, since I had so many problems with my son when I was preggo with him. I will be back to let you ladies know how things are going with our lil one.
How are the ladies that are TTC and that are in their 2ww? I hope that all is well with everyone. Take care and God bless to all.

munchmom..congrates once again on ur lil one..even if its just one..u did it...well i have a question for you.. ill be doin my first iui in amonth or so..after u got pg..did you have to use the same dr or were u able to pick ur own..the reason i ask is because i live about 4 1/2 hrs away from my re nd it would be difficult to get away from work and all every month...well glad to hear yall are doin great..

munchmom04 - March 24

janet86 ~ well we did end up going back to the RE and he did sonos, and checked HCG and Progesterone levels to make sure that everything was going well. I believe that once you get to about 8 weeks or so and all looks well they will release you to any OB that you would like to go to. I was scheduled to see my RE three times, but I missed the first 2. At the last one I was 8wks6days and he did the sono and said all was great and asked if I had already picked a OB, I gave him her information and he said that all was well and he was sending her our info.
Good luck on your IUI, one piece of advice I would like to give you... the day of and the day after your IUI make sure you and hubby baby dance. I dont know if it was the IUI or the baby dancing that got us or positive, but hey it wouldnt hurt. Good Luck :-)

janet86 - March 24

munchmom04 - March 24

No problem we all were trying to get to the same point to get that BFP, so if I know something then I am going to share it with the next woman in hopes that it will help her get her BFP. So good luck and God bless

dee-dee - March 26

Congrads munch no matter what your baby is a blessing. Krissy - are you okay? did you test?how is your man doing? I miss talking you but this job is killing me.
Thanks everyone for the support. We decided to go with the IUI and femara cd 3-7 with monitoring and trigger shot. I was on the provera for 3 weeks and finally the cardio sent my records and af showed ....... I got a job which was good news i started on last Saturday(my body is killing me). I went to the RE's today because I was on cd 3 and needed my u/s for the femara cycle. Right there on the screen was a big fat cyst. So now after three weeks of holding off my cycle with the low dose provera I am now going to start 3 weeks of birth control to get the cyst down. I go back on 4/15 to see if the cyst is smaller, if not then we have to wait another 3 weeks with the birth control. If the cyst is smaller than i will have to wait about a week for my period again and then do the u/s again to make sure it is still getting smaller and then i can start my femera. When they gave me the birth control and said we had to wait my dh's heart just sank. He said he'll pray on it but the waiting to start the process again is killing him. I guess when it rains it pours.

Krissy68 - April 2

Hey ladies I am sorry I have been mia but I was rush to the hospital on Friday 3/20 because my dr thought it was my appendix turns out I have more fibroids and half of them are the size of plums and they had admited me to the hospital because I was in so much pain and my blood iron was real low they wanted to do a blood transfusion and a hysterocmy I told them I am checking myself out of the hospital and that I needed some time to think clearly because they had me heavily medicated I did go and see a new gyn and she told me she wanted to take things slow that the first step is to have a endometriss biospy and go from there. I will be having this done on April 9 and I will let you all know the results. Then I get a call from the RE nurse letting me know that they got all my lab results back and I have to take more blood test because my HTLV came back adnormal and this is an indication that I could have lekuimia and also I have traces of the anitibodies that cause m/c. I do have a questions have anyone had a endo biospy and if so can you please explain it to me. Krissy
