linsy ~ hi how are you? well I had my first IUI on the 6th of this month and I am in the 2ww also. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I am not suppose to test until the 18th but I think that I might test on the 14th. If its negative then I will just wait until the 18th and test again. So did you use any meds with your IUI or anything? Good Luck and Baby Dust to both of us. :-)

janet86 ~ hi, how are you? You said that you were in Texas, I am too. Im in the Arlington area where are you?I dont know about the age thing, I am only 25 and hubby is 32. I really dont know if that made a difference or not. I know that I told him that we were TTC for over 3 years. SO if you need anymore info just let me know. I know that it is hard the TTC process. Hubby & I were TTC for 3 years now. We both have a child from a past realtionship, so I knew that the plumbing still worked. I wen to see a RE finally on the 4th. I had been using OPK & I got a postive on the same night. While at my apt. I had an u/s he saw a few good folliciles. Hubby had SA and his results were great. I had an HCG shot on the 5th and the IUI done on the 6th. Im in the 2ww and I will be going in for a blood test on the 18th. Im very nervous, but I will keep you posted on my results. Good luck to you guys. :-)

Hi everyone. I just had my first IUI on Feb. 21st after 10 months of ttc. I have a 2 year old and had no problem conceiving but this time I'm having many problems. After 7 months of ttc I switched from an OB to a fertility specialist and he wanted to do surgery for possible fibroids. I had a hysteroscopic myomectomy where he removed many fibroids and also found a uterine septem...he said my son was a miracle! I am now on my 4th non-consecutive month of Clomid but this is my first round with hcg shot and IUI. My husband was tested and his swimmers had great count, but low motility and morphology. When his guys were tested this past Saturday before the IUI all scores seemed high so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. After my 8th month of trying I bought an amazing book on Chinese medicine and infertility...The Tao of Infertility. I was completely inspired and began accupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs for infertility.

I have my next appointment with my fertility specialist on Mar.6 to take a pregnancy test.

janet86 ~ Hi, on our 1st consult. I was already like about day 17 of my cycle. He went over our history, and medical problems. He gave us a printout of how the normal fertility treatment works. He said that we would have to wait until next month and get started, but I was not going to wait so I asked him if there was anything that we could try this month. He told us about the IUI procedure and he did an ultrasound. I had a few nice size folliciles and a few that were not too far behind them. I was also using Clomid and OPK. So I continued to use the OPK and I got a + the same night as our 1st RE appointment. I took another test the next day and it was still +, so I called the office and he told me to go ahead and give myself the HCG shot. I took the shot the same day and the next day I went in for the IUI. All of this happen within 3 days. Our 1st RE apt was on the 4th Wed. and I had the HCg shot on the 5th Thurs and the IUI on the 6th Fri. So just get as much info as you can. I hope I have helped you. If not then just let me know and I will give you more info if needed. Good Luck hun :-)

munchmom04 - did you get your results?

munchmom04 - February 26

garcan ~ NO call yet still waiting :-0

munchmom04 - February 26

Ok ladies I just got the call from the nurse at the RE office. Well it looks like my levels did not double like they wanted it to. It did got up to 440 from 260. She said that it is ok as long as it keeps going up. She said that I am 5 weeks and 3days. I am so sacred I have been reading on here that if your levels did not double then you could be having a misscarriage :-(. OMG someone please help me I dont know what to do. She asked if I was still spotting and I told her no and she asked if I was still taking the proterium, I told her yes everynight. She said that it is ok, and that the RE might want me to come back in in a few days to get another level, before he do the 7 week scan. I just need some encouraging words. I mean we TTC for 3 years and finally got the BFP last week. Someone please help me calm down

garcan - February 26

munchmom04...congratulations!!! I was reading about beta tests and levels on this string and have absolutely no idea what that is. It's best to stay calm and relax...and be ecstatic that you are pregnant!!!

Gets tons of rest and relax, relax and relax!!!

garcan - February 26

munchmom04...one more thing....you may want to stop reading things until you see the doctor for an ultrasound. Something reading things on the Internet can drive a woman crazy! Everyone is different and will have a completely different experience. Take whatever you read with a grain of salt.

munchmom04 - February 26

garcan ~ Thank you so much you are such a sweetheart for responding so quickly. I am going to stop reading the post about the HCG levels and things on here. If the nurse said that it is in the norm then I guess I should be ok. She said that it should be between 18 and 7340, so I am ok. But thanks again. Good luck to you and lots and lots of Baby Dust :-)

Hi ladies I was wondering if I can join you. I will be seeing the fertility doctor for the first time on Monday March 2. I am real excited. I am not sure what the course of action will be but I am thinking it will be IUI. I do have a question for you. I had my blood work for cd 3 and my FSH is 8.4 and my E2 is 53. Are these numbers okay. I am 40 and will be 41 in June. When I see the doctor I will already be on cd 10 so I don't think I will be able to do anything this cycle. What do you all think? Krissy68

Hi ladies, this is my second time triing IUI. I was DN with PCOS six yrs ago and concieved naturally in 2005 now have a beautiful little girl. My husband and I have been triing to conceive naturally since she was born knowing that I have difficulty concieving. When she was 3m old we were in a car accident where I developed FMS and have had to take analgisic meds for over 3yrs. I am worried if we are successful in conceiving through IUI that I will have to take meds through my pg and what effect it might have on baby. Does anyone have FMS or similar? I take t3 and sometimes if pain is really bad oxicodion. Sometimes I only take extra strength Tyln. if pain is minimal.
