I started spotting yesterday and got my hopes up that it was implantation bleeding (yesterday was 10 days post IUI), but I can't deny it anymore - definitely got my period. Pretty crushed right now. Have NEVER been an entire week early getting my period. I'm only 21 days into my cycle, but it's definitely AF. Not sure what happened with this 3rd IUI, other than the fact that it was more painful and doctor had more trouble getting catheter in. Thought for sure that 3 times a charm. :-( We're moving on to IVF after this so probably won't post anymore here, but I just wanted to wish EVERYONE many prayers, many blessings, and many hopes that IUI works for you. I've enjoyed reading your stories and sharing experiences. It's been so comforting. Baby dust to all! |

DK10.... I know how you feel. I've been down several roads over the last five years. Who would have thought it would be so hard to conceive a little bundle of joy. My heart goes out to you! ;) |

Did anyone have emotional breakdowns while taking clomid? I'm done taking clomid for this cycle, but am wondering about other options if I find myself needing to use it again next month. |

Cdefonso... Darling... I know! Nothing seems to make it any easier month after month. I've put my own spin on a wonderful Dr. Seuss quote, "Don't cry because the cycle is over, Smile because it happened." Because when it does happen we will be so thankful for the little one that finally makes it all the way! |

cdefonso, my prayers are with you. I am so sorry to hear of the results but I trust that the IVF will work. Stay with us during your 2ww and let us know what is happening with you. Take care. |

CAI thanks for the welcome! :) My first iui wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. The procedure itself didn't hurt but it was very uncomfortable. Later that day and the very next day I experienced some cramping, but so far today I'm feeling pretty good! LexNJa, my first round of clomid I was very emotional. I would be fine one minute then the next minute I would just cry for no reason. I def. felt like I was on an emotional rollocoaster for those 5days. |

hi all. I'm reading through all your posts and i'm feeling panicky about the path our specialist hasplanned for us. After trying for 1 1/2 years, my hubby went for a semen analysis and we found that there was just nothing there. We saw a specialist and ordered donor sperm. I should be getting AF next week. Our specialist told me to call on my first heavy day, and then I'll take Chlomid for 5 days. Then, I will have the IUI. Since we paid a lot for the donor sperm, I'm scared that this isn't going to work. He hasn't recommended injections or having an ultrasound. Should I be worried? |

mssy419, I have been taking clomid for 4 rounds now and I take mine on days 3-7. I would think the dr. would either have you take the clomid day 3-7 or days 5-9 of your period. As far as the ultrasound I always go in on day 12(12 days after the first day of my period) for an ultrasound to see how my follicles are developing. I would def. recommend an ultrasound because you want to make sure your follicles are mature enough for fertilization. Goodluck! |

lfisher2... When r you due to test? I'm on day 7 and am having some weird feelings in my tummy. Also, I've noticed that I am beginning to break out on my face. My husband said last night that there must be something happening inside because this rarely ever happens to me. LOL! |

Hi everyone. So sorry to all of you with BFN. I know all too well how hurtful it is, but don't give up and try to stay positive. Congrats Inb77! We're right in there together. My hcg was 258 on Monday and 642 yesterday. I'm just ecstatic that this is finally happening! My first u/s is 3/16 and I can't wait. I had one mature follie on each side prior to the iui. I feel great, no nausea, occasional waves of dizziness but overall fantastic. Inb77, how are you feeling? When is your u/s? SJP: sounds like you're doing great. It's nice to know someone is a little ahead of me so I'll know what to expect. Babydust and prayers going out for all of you! |

Welcome Mss419. As lfisher2 noted, the ultrasound will tell you the size and quantity of follicles you have. I do believe that when you make the call to your doctor on the first heavy day, at that time they will also schedule the appointment for the ultrasound however, if they do not, go ahead and ask for it. |
