I hope you guys don't mind if I join your thread, but I'm hoping to start clomid end of this month, btw catalina how do you get clomid u/p? does anybody know of someone who got bfp the first time they tried it? i've started using the progesterone cream just to bring up my levels since they're kind of low. Ive done reading on it and most sites say that it should have at least 400mg per oz., but theres a pharmacist on power-surge.com that says progesterone hormone only works really well in oil form. I'm still using the cream though.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could join the group with you all. I have been on several cycles of clomid off and on. This is actually my second clomid/IUI cycle. We had gotten pregnant this past December but it stopped developing a few days later. I guess technically it probably never really started to develop too much. Anyway, I had my first insemination today and will have one tomorrow. I have 3 follicles that are mature enough and hopefully will release today or tomorrow since I had a trigger shot yesterday evening.

Jaycee - February 15

I took Clomid 50mg first time this cycle and I am on cd8 today. I did not experience much side effects execpt feeling hot while sleeping at night. Me and my hubby have now been trying for almost 2 yrs now (been together for 5) so really want a baby. I am keeping my fingers crossed and trying to keep my hopes up. We started seeing a RE 2 months back. Clomid is first step for us, hope it works. Praying for all those TTC.

sharerc - February 15

Hey ladies. Do you mind if I join in? I'm on my first cycle of Clomid. The OB started me on 100mg of clomid along with estrogen and progesterone. I'm on CD26 and will test on Saturday. I'm not feeling pregnant though! And I didn't have that many side effects. I had lots of cramping around CD20 that lasted about 2 days but that's about it. I hope everyone gets a BFP soon!

rrc - February 16

Hi All! Wow, welcome to all the newcomers! No side effects for me at all today. :) I take the second one tonight. I hope I sleep better tonight then last night! Catalina, I've heard of progesterine cream, but don't know much about it. Julieb, what's your story? Will this be your first? Daniela, my dr isn't monitoring me other then to call if anything is weird, and then to call at end of cycle. I think they consider me low risk in that all my testing seemed normal, I'm just not ovulating. I hear all these ladies talking about u/s, but maybe that for higher risk situations, I don't know. Hannah, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby in December! That's gotta be such a let down. I really hope this IUI works for you! I'll be praying that it takes. Jaycee, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has that s/e of sleeping hot at night. Did you talk you pill at night or in the morning? You and I are almost on exactly the same timeline. I'm cd4 and you're cd8, so that's close. :) My dh and I have been married almost 5 years as well. Sharerc, maybe the cramping on cd20 was a late ovulation. Do you know if you o'd? Also, I've heard you can get cramping with implantation. So maybe you're preggo and just don't know it yet! We'll hope for that! Why did your OB start you at 100 mg and not 50? Sorry this is so longwinded, there was just so many new people to talk to. :) Welcome again!

SkyKennels - February 16

Hi, girls! So glad to see all of you. Let's hope this is our month, right?! Keeing all 20 fingers crossed!
Just checking in. Hey, rrc, glad to hear no s/e other than hotness (and not in the good way ;->)
As for me, today was day nine of provera. My last, so, I am officially going to start waiting for AF to knock on the door. I understand provera REALLY makes her a witch. Funny, I have an Aunt F who is exactly like that. Grrr, there's a face I don't look forward to seeing at family events.
Julieb and Daniela, I think you and I are in the same boat, timing-wise. I ought to start taking mine around the 20 to 22, depending on if Auntie cooperates.
Share, my OB, also, started me out on 100 mg and I am worried. I personally think I ought to have u/s being I have PCOS, but doc, also, considers me low risk, especially since having recently managed to ovulate on my own for some reason. I guess we'll see. I AM supposed to immediately call the office if I develop dark urine, extreme weight gain, or pain from the whole Hyperstimulate Ovaries Syndrome (?)
Hannah B, I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying this one works for you and that the little bean(s) stick.
CatalinaD, I know what you're saying. I was considering this rout, too. I guess I am glad our 10 months ttc convince my OB. Guess I could have really said at that point, "told ya so, Doc". :-)
Wantanother, how is it going, girl?
Hugs, all! Lisa

catalinaD - February 16

Wow, welcome everyone.. I hope this is the cycle for all of us.. Everyones stories are so touching and inspiring, I just hope we are all succesfull this month.. I will keep in touch as to when my AF shows up, and I start the clomid. I'm a little nervous but excited.. I'm praying for side effects, but I think that's a given.. Gosh I feel like I take some many meds now... I'm taking the Prenatal vits (of course), Folic Acid, Complex B, Baby Asrin & Robitussin. Soon will be adding the Clomid. It seems like a lot to me. Is everyone taking this much stuff? I hate the Robitussin, it tasted like crap. yakkk! I'm glad you all have joined us, Baby dust to you all

SkyKennels - February 16

Hey, catalina! I don't think u need Robitussin yet. From what I understand, u only take on the day after ur last clomide pill up until ovulation, but PREFERABLY, depending on how long ur waiting for it, of course, about 7 days in a row? Am I wrong, girls? Anyone?

catalinaD - February 16

hi julieb, I'm sorry I didn't address your question, I bought it online through a pharm. from India. But I only bought the 25mg tabs as I'm a little nervous doing it alone. But after reading everyones stories, it seems as it 50mg is best to start. I just wish my MD would have given them to me and monitor me on them. But this is the way the cards fell. I'm being inpatient and he wants to wait it out.. uggg.. I have tryed everything, the pillow under me after bding for 20 min., timing, charting, checking CM everyday. I know i'm not ovulating and it drives me crazy.. Talk soon, Baby Dust

catalinaD - February 16

SkyKennels, that's good news, I'm taking it and I haven't started the clomid yet, LOL.. Great news for me.. that stuff is for the birds..

wantanotheraftertr - February 16

Hello all wow this thread is a busy one I am glad I joined in. Many of us to share info. Hannah sorry about your loss in Dec. I feel for you. Catalina I am taking the prenatal vit. and clomid I seem to be ok with cm so not looking into the robitussin yet. My prenatals have folic acid in them and my gyn said that there was enough in them so I didn't need to take more. Why does everyone take baby asprin with clomid? My RE started me out on 100mg this month with the clomid. I asked about the u/s since I have history of cysts and they said they would watch for symptoms but they are going to draw blood on cd 20 to make sure i have od I am pretty sure I do as my temps go up. I am still waiting for a + opk does anyone know what day you are supposed to O on clomid? I hear it is supposed to be earlier as it make your cycle more regular? I am currently cd14 good luck to all and babydust!!!!!

rrc - February 16

I'm only taking prenatals, and now the clomid. I think the Robutussin is for the cm and I think SkyKennel is right about taking it after the last pill of clomid. The aspirin I've heard is for something about the thinning of the edometrial lining or something like that? Anyone have a more exact reason? Wantanother, I just got done reading all the fine print of paper that came in my clomid box, and it said you're supposed to O 5-10 days after you've taken the last pill. I don't know if it makes a difference what day you start it, though. Well, I'm off to take my second pill. Can't wait to see what this month brings all of us. :)

filledwithfaith - February 16

Hi everyone, I too am new to this forum and to clomid. I started on Jan.29 adn took clomid days 5-9. I am on CD19. I do not know if I o'd, as I did not know to do OPK until CD16....Dr. never suggested it nad I found out why after talking to him. Apparently they are unpredictable if you have PCOS and/or on clomid. So I will find out on Monday if I did...I am hoping. This whole process has been alot on my heart, and it is nice to finally have somewhere to go and talk and listen to others, without wearing my fiance out with all my fears, thoughts etc. I was ttc for 1 year on my own while waiting to see a OB (no AF whole year)and finally after I did I found out I had PCOS, insilin resistant. I started taking metformin for that which made me violently ill until I reached 1500 mg/daily. I then had to get procedure to see ovaries, radioactive dye etc (*forget name of test) adn instead of going where it was supposed to it went in my blood stream and did not even enter my uterus, let alone ovaries. The Dr. immedaitely schedued a emergency laporoskopy and HPG to rule out cancer. All went fine, and I started prometrium, to induce AF, which was no fun. So that's my recent story. I hope for one that I O'd this month on just 50 mg and even better would be preggers. I wish us all the luck and that we all have a new life in ours next X-mas....:))))

sharerc - February 16

rrc- I could have ovulated around CD20. I'm a late ovulater anyway. Maybe that's the case. Who knows! I don't chart and I didn't do OPKs this month. Just the tons of meds (clomid, estrogen, progesterone, and some pre-seed too). I think my OB started me on 100mg to be aggressive with the treatment. I miscarried in November so she knows I'm getting tired of waiting around. If this month is not my month I'm going to ask to be upped to 150mg. I also am going to ask her to do an u/s around ovulation time to see if Clomid is doing what it's supposed too. I just don't think I'm ovulating yet! Catalina- I had no idea you could buy things like that over the internet. If I would've known that I would have started on clomid when I started TTC in April! If I'm not pregnant this month and not pregnant next month, I plan on going to a RE and getting this damn show on the road! I am sooooooooo inpatient!
