early 20's and NOT OVULATING!!!!

so i havent had my period since jan... thought i was pregnant but after a 5 hpt's, 1 blood test and a ultrasound i found out im not pregnant. they ran hormone test to check to see if i had an hormone inbalance then they clecked my ovaries and uterus for abmornal tissue, cysts, fibroids, endomentrosis (excuses my spelling) and everything came back just fine! the doctor i went to prescribe me some pills called medroxyprogestorone to bring my period down. im so frustrated because i would hate if i cant have kids... Any Advice?!?

Hi Kay - flippin heck no period since Jan that is a surprise. Did you take pregnancy tests...what did they show?? my story is quite similar, I've had various hosp appts, blood tests to see if im ovulating and today i had an ultrasound scan to check my ovaries, bladder etc and mine was also clear. I'm waiting on a further consultation. Have you not discussed clomid with your consutlant? You will be able to have kids...there's lots of things they can do now. I've been trying for 5yrs now and im still trying to be patient. Have you been trying long? Good luck with it all xx

hey Josie, yes i took a couple of HPT and i took 1 at the hospital and another at the hospital all of them were negetive but the prescribed me some pills that will make me have a period and build up the some kind of female hormone in my body... but i wasnt trying when all this first started happening but now i want a baby. so i guess when i actually start having my period again were going to start. Do you know anything about your situation now?

Thanks for your reply. Im sorry im new on this site so im not sure what all these codes stand for HPT etc. Im still not sure what my next step is. Im waiting on an appt with my gynaecologist to explain the next step. I was told that I may require a laparoscopy but im not sure if this will still be the case if they done an ultrasound and not found anything?? Its all new to me all this, only starting getting myself checked out in Jan this year so i can see this is going to be a lonnnnggg journey!! I know the time will come when its ready and that I just need abit of guidance. I really do want this clomid pills, all I hear about on here is that and it seems it makes people ovulate (which is what i need becoz im not ovulating). Me & my partner are deseperate for a baba and i will do whatever it takes to have one:-)
Have you been trying long? Do you find everywhere you go that someone os pregnant!!?? I do and it really bugs me... x

hey josie, just wanted to update u. well i finished taking the medicine thats suppose to make me have a period and still NOTHIN... the wieght loss doctor i went to asked me what meds i was taking and i told him and he asked did i come on. i lied and said yes i did. then out of curiosity i asked him what would it mean if i didnt and he said well if i took the medicine and didnt come on i could be highly pregnant because i guess they use to use those pills to test pregnancy. not really sure but im just so worried that if i am i hope nothing is wrong with the baby... hhow have you been with your situation??

Hi Kay sorry for the late response, just come back from a much needed holiday in Turkey. Head re-freshed and more positive thinking. Oh and i wouldn't of lied...maybe you should arrange another appt and ask for more tests if there could be a chance that you may be pregnant. Have you took any tests??? Fingers crossed for you, I hope our stories will eventually be nice success stories that we can both share and look back on.
I have my pre-op tomorrow for my laparoscopy...bit nervous but excited also that im being taken seriously for once. Keep me posted on your progress x

hi guys im 24 (nearly 25) was diagnosed with PCOS at 16. moved to aus 2 n half yrs ago. got married n me n my hubby r trying for bubbas,, i went to Dr n pretended i didnt know whats wrong just so i could have all tests done 2 be 100% sure it is what i have. but since my periods are VERY irregular n my sis has the double uterus and cervix i was reffered to a specialist. i had bloods and scans done all of which came back good. nothing wrong i just dont ovulate. so specialist started me on a low dose of clomid (25mg). im on my 1st cycle this is day 25. i took clomid day 3 to 7. had a scan on day 12 which showed 1 follicle approx 10mm but dr said it was prob to early to say whether i had ovulated as i wud prob ovulate on day 17 to 19. i had my blood done yesterday to test progesterone level and should here from dr in next couple of days as to whether i ovulate and when to do the preg test if i did or to up the dose of clomid if i never.
about day 19 of my cycle i noticed some bleeding but it was just slight, no clots and only when i wiped. as i am a practice nurse i nipped in to speak to dr at work who reassured me it wud b ok and that it was either ovulation or implantation of a fertised egg.. fingers crossed for either really.
i will let you know how i get on. hope it bring some hopefullness to you

kay9091 Im in the same boat as you I been trying for the past year I use to go 6 months with out a period I would get tested and it would be negative until lat year I found out I had high testostrone levels and perscribe me the same meds b 4 I could start taking them my period started coming on time my DR also said my weight could b a prob so I been concentrating on losing but I still feel there could b something else going on she wasnt so reasuring so Im going to see another gyn it always hlps to get a sec opinion.....
