what do you mean by secondary dysmenorrhea....are there any stages also for dysmenorrhea...i'm also experiencing severe cramping during first 3 days of my cycle and have to take pain reliever...but how would i know if its a secondary dysmenorrhea?

dysmenorrhea is the medical term for painful periods. Primary means it started right away when your periods started in your teenage years. Secondary means it started after a few years of nonpainful periods. The chances of getting pregnant would depend on the cause of the secondary dysmenorrhea ie-endometriosis, scar tissue, fibroids. Ask the Doctor that did the surgery! Since he/she knows you from inside and out.
