Hi, SaintRose, I did a search on "PCOS FSH LH levels" I found a website that talks about this same thing you said. I'd say it's pcos. I would find a doc that will test. It says that they would check blood sugar levels to help determine if it's pcos. Have you had a vaginal u/s? That is also used, but does not necessarily mean they will be able to determine pcos from that alone.

Definitely find someone who will test for PCOS, because that is certainly what it sounds like. I also have PCOS, had 2 m/c and irregular cycles, and my doc said they way they tell is because the LH is too much higher than the FSH.

rose - ask kaiser to send you to infertility clinic - they are the ones who WILL test for PCOS at kaiser - they are the ONLY ones who will do the more involved tests there -- you do need to have a referral to the clinic - but with 4 m/c's and a whole lot of time spent trying you should completely qualify. i am with kaiser so this is how i know this. you MUST be your own health advocate with kaiser - and . . . . open enrollment at you (or dh's ) employer comes in a few weeks & they have other choices for health care insurance if you are not completely satisfied with the care you are getting. so perhaps you could look into one of the other choices - and switch away from kaiser to a private doc who will address your concerns and not adhere to strict kaiser protocol.
