Hi Nans and Natasha. Nans, how wonderful that you found a book that inspires you. It always makes me feel good when I can connect with a book because I know that someone else is or was going through what I am experiencing. I truly hope it helps and that your faith continues to stay strong. Waiting for the test results I know is trying; let us know what you find out. Natasha honey, I know that m/s is tough- believe me. It is really all day sickness. When I got it my dh and I both laughed and cried because we knew it was a good sign. Then I slept for a few hours! Think how long you have wanted this and you can get through it. I ate so many saltine crackers at work while pg, that one of my students gave me a box for Christmas and said that they noticed how much I loved them! Nans, my New Year's was good and happy. Delaney is well and feisty as ever. We are putting her in her crib to sleep now and having her learn how to go to sleep on her own. It has gotten easier. Tonight is night four and she cried for less than a minute and drifted off. She still wakes about four times to eat, but now at least I have a little time at night to myself. Take Care

Hi Nans, well I truely believe that God has the perfect baby and perfect timing for you. I know that you're going to be a terrific mom and I pray that the Lord blesses you VERY soon! I love your positive attitude and know that you're growing even though this road seems long and dark right now---I can't wait to celebrate your BFP with you!
I remember the ms all too clear. It was like constant motion sickness to me and thankfully it only lasted weeks 6-9. The remedy for me was preggy pops or sucking on lemonhead candies. I remember being so healthy in the first trimester and wanting to eat lots, but having NO appetite--I ate salads the first 12 weeks---then it took a turn in the second trimester, I'm surprised I didn't gain more weight than I did, so I'm sure you will have your cravings at some point ;0)
Bless your heart Ann, getting up with Delaney at night. That's great that she's in the crib now and going to sleep by herself, it does get easier! Kalyn still wants a pacifier to fall asleep, but then it usually falls out after about 30 min. She's moving up in the nursery to the crawlers and walkers room, I can't believe it! She has her bottom 2 teeth, but we're still doing great with breastfeeding--that has been a blessing! I think I'll get more concerned as the top teeth start to come in--yikes!! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and Natasha, I hope you have 2 heartbeats at your sono appoinment tomorrow--HA! Let us know about it!

Hey NatashaV...got a silly question for you. I had a new patient come and see me today and he moved here from Canada. He gave me a phone number to call to get his records. Do I just dial like normal and put a 1in front of it for long distance---or is there something special I should know. Let me know, or Ann and Nans if you know that would be great b/c I need to call tomorrow. Thanx

NatashaV - January 12

Hi, quick post. I had the ultrasound today, and the baby has a hearbeat..yay! And just ONE...which is fine with me. :) Dh got to see it too. I feel relieved because I read on some website a week ago that chance of mc goes down to 10% (from 30% at my age) once you see that. It was beating at 133 beats/min, which she said is normal (hard to imagine that something the size of a small bean could have a heartbeat!) and it measure 6 mm. The odd thing is that she said I'm measuring at 6 weeks and 2 days (which would mean a due date of Sept. 4th), whereas it should actually be 7 weeks tomorrow. So, apparently it's smaller than usual (?), but she also said that it could also just be her measurement if off..? Not sure. Anyway, if anything was wrong, the tech isn't allowed to say, and I won't find out until Feb. 12 ..which now seems a long way away..so I'll try to resist questioning it. The 'all day sickness' is still with me, but I'm trying to just deal with it. Kerri, to dial the #, just dial 1, then the area code, then the 7 digit #. :) Nans, how are you doing? I really want this to be your month! That would really be wonderful. Have you heard back about your results yet? I'm glad you're getting good info from your new book. I do sort of believe that morning sickness is related to fear, but I'm doing the best I can to stay positive etc., so hopefully it goes away sooner than later. Yikes ladies, teeth and breastfeeing...such brave women! :) I'm off to bed here soon...yep, again. :)

Hi Natasha WOW, that's awesome hearing your baby's first heartbeat, that must have been an amazing experience for you and DH.I hope i will experience that very soon. I think it's somehow a relief for your that your little baby is doing fine even if he/she's a little smaller. I know that the baby will continue to progress and develop, just take care and eat a little bit more. Ann i agree with what you said I really feel inspired by other people who been through the same journey as me and ended up with a positve result. Just like you, Kerri and Natasha along with the book the 3 of you are my inspiration. Kerri thanks for your kind words for me, I know that the 3 of you will always be here for me and will be happy celebrating with my BFP. Hopefully I will be able to get the results of my evaluation tests tom, please pray for me that everything will be OK and all my test is negative from anything. Thanks again to all of you. Have a wonderful weekend. God bless you all. Talk to ya all later.

Just have a quick minute, but Natasha, how very wonderful! It is so amazing to see the little heart beating away! Nans, I'm praying for you too. Kerri, I am glad to hear that you are doing well. tty soon

nans_n - January 15

hi all! how was your weekend? I hope that everybody is doing great. I went to the dr last saturday to get the result of my HSG and thank God it was clear. The only problem the dr said is the cysts in my ovary, which I have the option to do a surgery to remove it or just wait for it to go away by itself. Aside from that He said that everything is fine, but he is also suggesting IVF, so i'm a bit confused if he thinks that everything is ok why do you think he would suggest for us to do IVF? I really don't know what to do right now. I'm starting to have spotting so I think AF is just around the corner will pop out anytime. Please continue to pray for me as a face another challenging cycle. Talk to ya all later.

Hi Nans, it's always hard to know how to feel about what the doctors say. As you recall, mine told me we had a 1-2% chance of a natural conception, so you just never can trust for sure what they're saying. BUT, they're the doc, so of course you want to trust them. It's hard... I think most docs, when they hear how long we've been ttc, automatically think we should do ivf in case it never happens. Could also be because it's $ for them, but hopefully it's not financially motivated, that would just be wrong. I really hope your 'spotting' is actually implantation bleeding. Good to hear that the hsg was clear, and just for the record, I had a cyst on my ovary when I was younger, and it went away on it's own. Sending you lots of strength and baby dust... Kerri and Ann, how are you both? Not much to report for me except that I'm still feeling sick and hungry most of the time..it's not easy, but I'm dealing with it the best I can. I was saying to my sister that isn't it weird how life goes..with good there always seem to HAVE to be bad too. I don't know why that is, but I guess if nothing else it teaches us to be strong (like ttc-ing for years didn't make us all strong enough!) Anyway Nans, I'm here for you, and I'm hoping for the best.

NatashaV - January 20

Nans? How are you doing my dear? ...thinking of you. N.

nans_n - January 20

Hi NatashaV, i'm doing fine and i'm on CD6 today and waiting for O, DH decided to try again naturally, my herbalist suggested another herb that will remove the cycts. I think we are still not ready for IVF emotionally and financially, If the RE suggested IVF because of how long we are trying to conceive not because there is really something major wrong with us, I feel and believe with the help of God and your prayers I will get pg this cycle. How about you? how's your pregnancy? I hope that everything is OK with you? Are you still having morning sickness? Take care of yourself. Ann and Kerri how are you? Have a nice weekend to all of you. Please always include me in your prayers. Thanks for your support.

Hello Ladies...
Sorry I haven't had a chance to post lately. Last weekend we all the stomach bug, I think Kalyn brought it home from school---it was scary, when I went to wake her up she was in a pool of vomit and had a fever with a huge sweat ring on the sheets where she was sleeping---poor baby!!! Then DH and I got it the next day, we were all in pretty sad shape. But, we're all doing much better now--my parents were in for the weekend so that was nice. Kalyn is growing so much, she's already in 12 month clothes!!! I NEED to update her website, I've been so busy with working, cleaning, and the new start up of my internet business. NatashaV, how's that morning sickness going? Why do you have to wait until Feb. 12th for results on your sono? That seems so far. Nans, how is your doctor monitoring your cyst...by sonogram??? Hopefully it will go away on it's own and quickly. I'm excited for this month for you-post HSG!!! Ann, how is Delaney? Is she a good eater? Hope everyone has a great week!

NatashaV - January 24

Hi all, Nans how's it going? What kind of herbs can get rid of cysts? Sounds like a good idea to try something natural. It sounds like cysts are quite common though, so try not to worry. I've heard of a few women that have cysts and get pg. I really really feel that it's coming in the next few cycles for you...AND I know you have the patience and faith to get you there! Kerri, what a scary story..to find your sweetie surrounded by her vomit. Awwww..poor thing, and poor you! I'm glad to hear that you're all doing better, but geez..scary for sure! Ann, how are you doing? How's Delaney? Yep, I've still got ms (alllllllll day...every day) and I wake up with a headache almost every day too. I was actually thinking that the ms might be subsiding a bit on Saturday, since I had moments/hours of feeling human again, so was hopeful that it might be the end. But no...! Sunday evening it came back full force, and I was so disappointed that I had an emotional meltdown. Poor dh, here he thought the bfp would make everything okay..apparently not. :) But, the next day I managed to get my butt out of bed, and go on with my life, so...we really are pretty strong we women! You do what you gotta do, right? I'm trying to remind myself that this part won't last forever and I look forward to feeling well again. But, the good news is that I think this means baby's doing okay, so that's good. Unfortunately, I cannot tolerate any of the healthy foods that I normally eat. I can't eat fruit or vegetables without feeling like vomiting..how bad is that?? Nor can I drink the amount of water that I used to (I used to drink minimum 2 litres a day). Would you believe that even water makes me sick? I've found that drinking it with a bit of lime juice helps slightly... I've done some research online and 'they' say that you should eat whatever you can handle, whether it's healthiest or not. I'm eating a lot of carbs in the form of pasta mostly (well, not a lot actually..it's hard to eat anything). In fact, since the time I found out I was pg, I've lost 7 pounds. I know this isn't a good thing, and I'm not 'trying' to lose...believe me! But, I'm doing the best I can in terms of eating. Fortunately 'they' say that the vitamins help a lot and that baby will take what it needs from my resources to thrive and leave me high and dry if need be. Oh, and Kerri the reason I have to wait for the results of my ultrasound (it wasn't a sono) is because my doc is on holidays. I was thinking that I could call his office and see if the receptionist is there, and ask about it. But, I'm a bit of worrier, so truly the less I know, the better. If it's not good news, I can certainly wait till Feb. 12 to hear it. And, the way I see it, better now than when I need the doc to be here in Sept! Anyway, hope everyone is well...guess I was feeling chatty tonight (dh is out of town). Nans, keep up the good work, and I'm still praying for you...

Hi Kerri! how are you DH and Kaylyn, i really hope that you all get well very soon, that is really scary, how can small babies carry stomach bugs???but i hope you're all well now. Yeah please update your website want to see some photos of Kaylyn. It's been a long time since I visited your website. Please send me the link too...I think i forgot it also...LOL, so what's the internet business you're talking about? sounds interesting. Ann how are you? been so quite lately...how's Delaney? Hope she's doing fine. Natasha just hang in there...always remember that this pregnancy is what you've ever dreamed of so continue your patience and prayers for your morning sickness, i know that you will definitely feel the joy of your pregnancy in the next few weeks. According to some pregnancy books i read it is good to eat small portions of food every 2-3 hours if you really can't handle large portion. Are you taking prenatal vitamins, I know that will really help your baby get the vitamins and minerals they need. I know this will all pass. Just pray and keep believing that your morning sickness will be over. With me everything seems to be ok with me. DH decided not to see our RE for the meantime, since we are not that ready for IVF and that dr is just monitoring the cysts with sono. I'm taking some herbs called anti-C, it's special formulated by the herbalist I know. He also have a lot of cancer patients that was healed. So I'm really praying that things will work out for me. Please continue to pray for me as my O approaches. I'm CD 10 today and having slight EWCM, so i think I will O in the next few days. Have a nice day to all of you.

Hi Everyone. Kerri, so sorry to hear about Kalyn. It is so terrible when babies get sick, you feel so helpless. I am glad to hear that you are all on the mend. I know that there is a stomach bug going around school; I am praying that I dont' get it this time! Oh, Delaney is an okay eater. She has rice cereal in the morning, veggies for lunch and fruit as a snack and then again at dinner. She eats step 2 a half or whole container each time. Then she nurses three times at night, once before I leave for work and three times in the evening. Never did take a bottle. She is just now learning to take a sippy cup. How about Kalyn? I really don't know how much she is supposed to eat. She is kind of picky. Natasha, I feel your pain. I too couldn't tolerate water and gingerale made me gag. It lasted until my fourth month then I gained ten pounds :0) all at once. I didn't feel bad about it, I was thrilled that I could enjoy food again. Also, veggies really turned me off. My first time pg I devoured a chicken pot pie and then was sick for days. I still can't think about eating one without getting ill. Anyway, just keep in mind this will pass and then you will have a bunch of fun eating and getting big and jolly. Keep us updated and feel free to complain. Nans, I really hope those herbs are helpful. I also know of people who had cysts and became pg. I am praying hard for you this month! Keep up your great attitude, I know it helps. Take Care.
