Comid and Overweight

Hi everyone. I am new to this site but excited I found it. I am wondering if anyone out there using clomid has a weight problem as well. We have been TTC for over a year and just began clomid due to no ovulation. I don't think it worked for ovulation. I am thinking they will up me to 100 mg of clomid due to weight. I was just wondering if any other heavy women were successful in getting pregnant on clomid.
Thanks

RJ13-I am in the same boat as you. I am in my 2ww (just had blood taken for a progesterone test today to see if I did ovulate or not). I have PCOS and this was my first cycle using 50mg of Clomid on days 5-9. I don't think that I ovulated, and I assume that the Dr will double my Clomid for the next cycle... I am soooo not looking forward to 100mg of Clomid because 50mg's gave me some crazy side effects (like being ravenously hungery and I would be incredibly dizzy). I hope that we both had more luck this cycle than we are thinking that we did. Keep in touch! Good luck & baby dust to you!

hi I am no doc, but from what I read, people with weight issues are also prescribed metamorphin. I hope that I got the spelling right. Maybe you could ask your doc about it

PJ-Thanks for your help... It's called Metformin and I have been on it for the last 5 months. It has helped with the insulin resistance somewhat in that I have almost lost 20lbs. Which is great... although the Clomid has given me all sorts of food cravings and has made me very hungry so that has not helped the weight loss efforts! But I am working on it! I currently am waiting to hear from my doctor with the results of my progesterone (day 23) test to see if the clomid helped me to ovulate this cycle or not.
