Clomid w/o prescription

Anyone have a story about clomid unprescribed? I just want to know when you took it (CD) and how many mg's? I know it's unsafe, and I'm not saying it's right, but sometimes there are reasons for this that not all are aware of. Please be understanding and not judgemental.

The facts are right now, the government is investigating back ally sales on the internet of unprescribed clomid. Taking clomid also requires close scrutiny by a doctor as it can cause cysts to form. Clomid also is not the "wonder drug" without side effects, it can actually cause your uterine lining to thin out, stays in the body for over 60 days, and can cause estrogen dominant effects that can really impair your fertility if you really don't need it. I am not judging, but really as a woman myself who has to take it for PCOS, ask your doctor for it, you don't want to wonder whether you made the right choice after you took it and don't have access to a doctor after you are over stimulated and need to go to the hospital or you have no idea whether you have cysts from it, which could crowd your ovaries and really prevent you from getting pregnant. Think about all the negatives, because there is more negatives then positives when you take it unsupervised. Good luck.

I want to add that if you do get your hands on back-ally clomid, make sure you only take the smallest dosage 50 mg and take it on cycle day 5-9 because that will cause less follicles to form then if you take it cycle day 3-7. Take it the same time each night too. But really, talk to your doctor please. I would feel so bad for you if you became hyperstimulated from it and needed to confess in the emergency room with what you took.

Thanks Linds99, I appreciate your honesty! I do have it and I plan on taking it. I have been researching it everywhere. I would go to the hospital if I felt there was something going on also. Please don't worry about that part of it, I have been taking some herbal fertility supplements for the past little bit as well. I also realize that you should not mix the herbs and the clomid. I appreciate the fact that you gave me the safe doses as well. I know your not telling me to take it at that only suggesting the safest thing to protect me so I don't over do it. I have to do something, after losing Kamryn and not being able to conceive now, it's becoming more and more stressful. I do know the side effects as well as the risks, and I again appreciate your responding

Hi Tenk - Please be safe & smart about this. Sorry I am concerned for you girl. Why would you be taking it unprescribed? Are you trying to hide it from DH? Are you just looking for a quick way to get pg? I hate to tell you that Linds 99 is right it's no wonder drug. I've switched off it because it screwed with me too much. Please Please be careful. Not judging you just concerned. Keep us posted.

Tenk - October 19

Lucky, my DH is all for it. I have been telling everyone close to us. My mom, his mom, the ladies that I work with and DH. I'm not trying to hide anything. Kamryn died at 38 weeks and we've been trying for 7 months since then. I can't handle the stress of just "not getting pregnant" after being so close to holding our little girl and hearing her cry..(we held her for 6 hours, but she was already gone) we have 3 healthy children DD7, DD5, DS3 and love them dearly. Always wanted 5 children, but after losing Kamryn, and not getting PG...well anyway. I won't take it for more than 3 cycles on my own, and everyone knows...I promise to be careful. Just advise of when and how much is greatly appreciated so that I am as safe as possible...thanks ladies!!!

I am so sorry for your loss Tenk. I truely am. No one should have to experience that. My thoughts are with you. I am sure you are still beside yourself over all that has happened. Please for your other preceious children's sake be careful. None of us on this site are Dr's. How come you are not going through your Dr? Have you sought professional help for the emotional side of things? I know you said you are in Clayton on one of the other boards and I live in Raleigh. I have an awesome Dr. @ Duke if you feel you would like to talk to. This lady rocks and specializes in nothing but women who are trying to get pg and using meds. She used to be an OB/GYN but can't practice anymore due to a hand injury. Just wanted to put this out there for you. I wish you the very best. Take care.

Tenk, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. That is really sad, However, has your doctor ran hormone tests on you? A lot of miscarriages are linked with a hormone imbalance. Maybe you just need a little tweaking here and there to get it up to par for a sustainable pregnancy. I know that having PCOS can make you susceptible to miscarriage, have you been tested for this?

Tenk - October 19

I'm sorry Linds99, I did not have a miscarriage. My daughter was 7lbs 3ozs, and 19in long. She was moving and kicking 4 hours before they pronounced her dead. They did all the testing they are supposed to do, on me, on the placenta, and on her, and found nothing. I'm not trying to be rude, but a miscarriage is when you lose a baby before they can survive outside the womb, that is clearly not what happened. Either way, I don't want to wait a year for them to tell me to try for 3-4 more months under supervision before they give me meds...that's too long!

linds99 - October 19

Sorry again Tenk, I didn't realize you actually birthed her. I assumed "losing" meant miscarriage. That is so devastating. I don't know how I would feel if that happened to me. It really is a nightmare. I think it is almost worse that doctors couldn't find the cause/reason for the loss. That is very hard to deal with and its harder to get closure I can imagine. It really is your perogative whether you choose to do this on your own. I have some friends that call my "medicated" cycles "unnatural"...but they don't understand having this disease doesn't have to push me in to a corner, I have options. Anyway, everyone has their opinions, but you know your opinion matters the most about your own decisions. Best of luck to you, hope it works for you this time.

Tenk - October 19

Thank you for being more understanding about it now, not that you are condoning my decision, but more why I'm doing it. BTW, the only conclusion they came to was that she got tangled in the cord, and I tried to tell them something was wrong when she wouldn't engage into my pelvis, and was hitting my hip bone, but they would not do another ultrasound...military docs...If there is anyone out there that has tried Clomid with no prescription can you please tell me what CD you took it and what the results/outcome was? Thanks everyone.

Tenk, go on the twins part of the forum, there are a lot of women on that forum taking back ally clomid trying to have twins (despite having nothing wrong with them/no miscarriages or losses). Anyway, they may offer the insight you are seeking. Again, good luck. Make sure your decisions consider not only the pain in your heart, but your well being and family who needs you to be healthy. Take care.

Tenk - October 19

Hi Linds, can you point me in the direction of the twins forum? I am having some trouble spotting it?

linds99 - October 19

It is way on the bottom of the list of different forums, where it gives you the option to find a thread that pertains to you, like "problems getting pregnant, signs of pregnancy, etc." Kinda at the bottom of that, scroll down. The ladies are nice there and won't judge you.

good luck with the clomid and sorry for your loss. i just took it for the first time, 50mg on days 2-6 after trying 7 months since miscarriage number two. it was prescribed but just by a consultant i saw twice and don't have any followup scheduled with...

Tenk - October 20

Chan, thank you for that!!!

slowpoke01 - October 20

tenk-i took clomid 50 mg on cd 3-7 it was prescribed. i did iui and hcg trigger shot also and got pregnant. august 11th i had iui and 2 weeks later got a + hpt a week later i started bleeding the doc said dont worry until there is a reason to worry. well sept.9th i found out that it was a tubal pregnancy and we had to terminate it. i was given 2 chemo shots called methotrexate to terminate so that they wouldnt have to do surgery and risk scarring my tube. so now i cant try again until dec. the doc said that tubal pregnancies are one of the risks when you are taking fertility drugs. he said it isnt a high risk but it is still a risk. they really dont know what causes tubal pregnancies. sometimes it is a problem with scarred tubes or blocked tubes but they know that wasnt the case with me so they really dont know what caused it. i understand what you are going through, i was monitored the whole time that i took clomid and i still ended up having a tubal pregnancy. i am not judgeing you or telling you it is wrong to take clomid unprescribed you know what is best for you. just be carefull. i had u/s every couple of days when i was on clomid so i was monitored really well. the doc said that he has never done an iui and it end up in a tubal pregnancy because the iui's are timed so well so as you see i broke his statistics. just be really carefull. before i found out that it was a tubal pregnancy i was in excrutiating pain. i would not want anyone to have to go through that.
