Boston - I was on gonal f 125 for a total of 11 days. I liked it, as much as you can like injecting yourself! Much less side effects than clomid. I wouldn't worry about the increase, it's pretty small and I know some ladies that were on around the 200 mark!

Sarbaer -

Saebear - ovulation can take place up to 36 hours after the positive, so you might want to bd one more time for good measure, but congrats, sounds to me like you ovulated! Good luck!!

Babymoon- thanks! yea, I thought that was the case, I just wasn't sure if it had already happened since I had a negative today... We will for sure be BDing just to make sure!

Good Morning!

Bostonmommy – yes the board did die down a bit, but glad you’re still out there! I’m doing ok… no next steps until Dec when I’ll go see my gynae again. I’m on CD30 now, had some cramps on the weekend and was the moodiest person alive, but it was full moon so I’m thinking maybe af is going to show a bit early this month as she usually shows CD37 for me. Its my bday Wednesday though (grr older!) and my bro arrives from overseas tomorrow, so I’d like her to keep away for a while rather. Trying not to keep hopes up like I do every month, especially since I’m not on any treatment, but what news it would be to tell while my bro is visiting since I only see him like once every 2 years and we are so close.

Chocolate lady – that is awesome, 14 weeks!!! Pls let us know if you’re having a girl or boy. Do you have a preference?

Sarbaer – Yip, I would say you ovulated the day it was dark… sounds very positive to me!! But keep bd’ing for a day or 2 just to be sure.

Tazynsmommy – wow that is scary, did they say the spotting is normal? I do hope you don’t have to have the gallbladder removed until during or after delivery.

Have a great day all!

Angel, thanks i found out today it is my gal bladder and they want to remove it like asap, very scary they say its safe though.. the bleeding and spotting the dr said is caused from over doing it..

@ngel - August 16

TazynsMommy - well if they say its safe and need to remove it asap then it will probably be better for you and the baby. Really hope the spotting has stopped though, I'm such a nervous wreck as I've never been pregnant and trying so hard that I would prob freak out and rush to hospital for every little drop!

Hey all you guys, ive been reading through lots of your posts and wow there some amazing stories... I am TTC and i have been put on clomid which i started today cd2 to 6 - i have a vaginal scan on 24th August - what will this show i have ovulated and how many. I don't understand these terms? Can someone give me any advice please x

Babymoon - August 17

Josie - the scan is likely to check how your ovaries are reacting to the clomid, how many follicles you have and what size they are. It's pretty straightforward, so don't stress!

They will likely send you for blood work after that, to confirm ovulation.

Josie12 - August 17

Thanks babymoon - feel little more at ease now. Im really new to all this so with regards to the follicles, is the more you have the better?? And the bigger the better?? Yeah they said they would prob send me for blood work after. Then what happens after this? How long have you been TTC and have you had a BFP yet? x

Babymoon - August 17

Josie - each follicle expands and then ruptures when you ovulate releasing an egg, more follis mean potentially more eggs, so they like to check to make sure you aren't producing too many as that's when high risk multiplescan happen, but also by checking the size they will be able to more accurately tell when you will ovulate and then when to be getting down to business!! The blood work then checks a hormone which you produce after ovulation.

I've been ttc for 11 months, and I'm currently 5 weeks preggo after my first IVF round!

It just reassured me that everything is ok and that I truly am gonna be a mom!!!!!!! I'm starting to show....finally some outward sign of how I'm feeling inside....well I pray that u r doing as fabulous as us u r. Chocolate Lady! You sound great! Enjoy this exciting time :)

Babymoon: I am so excited for you! Keep us informed. Are you going to find out the baby's sex? How do you feel?

Josie- ttc with help from doctors is a whole new learning experience. Trust me, I have learned so much in this past year, since my miscarriage and as I have been ttc again to give my son a brother or a sister. IN the past year I have done five rounds of clomid, four IUIs, and am now taking a break before we move to the next step. Don't be afraid asking for clarity. This board is great for that.

I am on day 4 of AF right now. I am not doing anything this cycle except have sex and use an ovulation predictor kit. When AF starts next cycle, I will make some more decisions. I hate this and feel so daunted by the events of this past year, since July '10, and am beginning to accept the fact that my son might be an only child, which is okay. I have more than many can dream of with my one wonderful child, but I have realized that last year's miscarriage has created a void after which I have been desperately chasing to to fill. Everyone keeps telling me a break is what I need, as though I will magically get pregnant from doing nothing, but I think I need it for emotional reasons. My anxiety this past year has been so intense.

Choclate lady you are an inspiration to us all - your success story is tear jerking. Congrats on the baby news - so it does happen then lol.

Jac1019 - your journey seems unbearable, i can't beleive so much has happened in the space of a year - you must be exhausted. I do wish you every bit of luck i can send your way, u deserve it.

I found out yesterday that my sister is having a baby, which wasn't even planned really. She said she wasn't even ready for kids but she is over the moon and was really excited. She didn't want to tell me at first as she knew what i was going through. Oh well, everything happens for a reason - maybe its just not my time.

I will keep you posted on any progress, please do the same. Good luck xx

Josie12 - August 17

Babymoon congratulations!!!! I bet you are over the moon. Thanks for your info with regards to my comment. Its lovely to share my problems on here, as when i talk to my friends its not the same. They on't understand the frustration of how much you WANT this - so badly it hurts. They dont get everywhere you look, someone is pregnant. Each day i here of someone new being pregannt and it hurts like hell.

Good luck with everything babymoon and keep this forum updated, could there be a risk of multiples wit you :-)????

LAM - August 17

Congrats Chocolate Lady and Babymoon!! So glad everthing is well with both of you!!!

Tazynsmommy I hope everything with your gallbladder turns out ok, I'm sure you and your little one will be just fine!!!

Angel, how are you??

Welcome Josie, the ladies on here are so great, and so supportive, stay positive and it will be your turn soon!!! I am in the same boat as you, I haven't started clomid yet because I wanted to wait it out a little longer to see if my body could figure things out, I have PCOS, I'm 25, and just went off BC in March, so I was really hoping I would magically be ok, but I'm not, so hopefully I will start clomid soon, my dh is very reluctant, so we will see.

AFM, I really thought that I was preg, I had so many symptoms, af is so so so overdue, and I got 2 slight positive hpts, I went to the dr and their urine test came out negative, so she ordered blood work too, it came back negative as well. I guess I am just wishing to hard, and making these symptoms up in my head....? Does anyone think it is possible that I could be preg?? I have done a bit of research on the hook effect and variant beta HCG, but it is probably making my delusions see more real, I know if I told my dr this she would probably tell me to go away!! She isnt very understanding. Let me know what you all think!!
